The Powerup and First Contact

Opening my eyes, the first thing that I see is a cave roof. [Wonderful thing to see first in my new life. Sigh~]

Observing my surroundings, I find myself in a desolate cave with some bluish liquid dripping from the ceiling.

'So I guess this is the primary way to get magic with the system. It probably also doesn't quite pull randomly, but as necessary, I kinda want to test that, but first the box.'

Opening my system, I find the inventory and select the box and then open it.

'So I received rewards that are built around the world itself rather than vouchers. System Strelizia appeared in my inventory, so I guess it just means it's storable. The serum is obviously to give to my partner, as I made aware to the ROB, it probably took pity on me for near-immortality. Not sure what's up with the eggs, but I guess now I should test the vouchers.'

Selecting the EX voucher, a selection window appeared with three skills on it, Raphael, Beelzebub, Uriel. 'Each has its own uses, but Raphael is easily superior in terms of use, followed by Beelzebub. Uriel is only useful with followers. It also helps that Raphael is broken.' Selecting Raphael, the words of the world suddenly sound.

[Entity, ZeroTwo, has gained ultimate skill, Raphael. Additionally, ultimate skill Raphael has requested permission to enhance entity, ZeroTwo, as a Demon Lord. Request Granted.]

'Wow, Raphael, already showing off?' Before I could even quip, an apathetic female voice actually responds. [Host has no control over their own Magicules; therefore, Host must be upgraded into an entity that can handle the load. Simply put, your power is on par with a demon lord, and the control required can be no less.]

Nodding in understanding, I suddenly feel a pain that felt very similar to the evolution but less powerful and closer to how a third-degree burn feels. Then, after a moment, the burning subsides, replaced by a feeling of cooling that I could also feel surrounding me.

'Raphael, was that...' [Indeed, that was your body generating the needed control over Magicuels as well as modifying to now have the aura of a demon lord.]

'Understood. I guess I'll grab the other voucher next.' Selecting and using the SS voucher, three new options appear, Merciless, Plunderer, and Creator. 'Not much is known about the plunder skill, but it may be possible to steal other skills with it. Merciless is easily the best for mass killing but doesn't really match the Z2 battle style. The Creator skill might be useful, the system doesn't include a fabrication feature, and with everything I know, this is the skill I could get the most use from.'

Selecting Creator, a sharp pain erupts from my head, subsiding after a few seconds. [Alright, I've completed everything I need for now, so let's get out of this cave and figure out where I'm at.]

After removing the Omni-Tool from my inventory and changing into my uniform after learning that I was still naked, I began walking around the cave, eventually finding a small lake.

'I kinda forgot after everything that happened, but this body hasn't really bathed in two years, and I still have some blood on me.' After ensuring no enemies were nearby and with the help of Raphael, I warmed up the water and stripped off my uniform. Climbing into the water, I found it was a perfect temperature for cleaning and then relaxing in.

'Haahhh~, this is great.' Taking a moment to observe my looks in the water's reflection, I could now tell my horns were actually kind of long, standing at about five inches each, and they became crystal red instead of solid red. In addition, my eyes changed from Z2's emerald green to gold with streaks of green in them and dragon-like slits. Cute pouty, peach lips pull the look together.

After about a half-hour of bathing and relaxing, I climb out, dry off, change and then continue. This cycle continued until I finally found a small area with dragonewts farming. 'I guess I know where I'm at now, not to mention when I am. It looks like the annoying parts of the storyline have already been handled. Now, I guess I should go and introduce myself to Rimuru, maybe coax a certain waifu out from his groupies.'

Walking toward the one I recognized as Gabiru, I yelled out to him, [Hey, you there, take me to your leader.]

Gabiru and his personal groupies turn and look at me weirdly before taking up arms. [I don't know who you are or how you got in here, but I will not allow you to disrupt this one's great work.]

'I seriously have no idea how he just said that while looking smug and proud when he was just farming' Hearing him, I let out a sigh before walking slightly closer and suddenly releasing my aura. 'I was never much of a patient one, and Gabiru always pissed me off, so I wouldn't mind removing him from the storyline.' Pulling the Omni-Tool out of its holster on my hip and releasing it in a bladed form, a blur suddenly jumped out of a shadow in front of me. It was Souei.

[Please wait. I will lead you to Lord Rimuru.] Nodding in response, I follow Souei out of the cave toward Tempest, leaving behind the extremely pale Gabiru and Co.
