Chapter 20

Akila,

The king's new wife stood alone, watching the surrounding people.

The great hall was crowded, and the aura felt dark and ominous. The colorful, spacious room was gloomy.

When the king had demanded that she would be there tonight, she thought that it was another one of those gatherings.

But now Akila wasn't sure of the reasons behind this. She can't even find any of her friends to ask, either.

A noble man bowed to her and Akila returned the gesture, feeling self-conscious about herself and the formal greetings.

"Would you have any idea about this unplanned gathering, your highness?"

The man asked Akila in a respectful tone, but she didn't miss the way he was looking at her.

She knew most of them despised her. She, the one who was lower than a servant, was now becoming a queen.

"I have no idea, my lord. I was summoned here the same as you."
