At noon, just after lunch, there were few pedestrians on the streets of Heavenly Water Bridge.
The second floor of the Pei family's cloth store was the main accounting room of Heavenly Water Bridge. It was equivalent to the CEO's office and was rather spacious. On the outside was the drawing room for guests, and the inner room was the study.
In the study was a large redwood desk with brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones on it. There was also a golden toad with a copper coin in its mouth at the corner of the desk.
Behind the armchair was a curio cabinet. On the left and right were jade cabbages, porcelain, and other works of art. In the middle was a treasured sword used to protect the store.
