“I was joking.”
“Knowing you, you weren’t.”
He waved a hand. Tails had unexplored possibilities. “Seriously, though, Grace. Could you sleep with one of them?” Could he? Yes. Zen was hot—in an alien kind of way.
She pursed her lips. “It depends. I don’t find them unattractive, but they are huge. Does it even fit?” She widened her eyes.
“Only one way to find out.”
“Nah, I think I’ll hold off on it for a bit longer. I’m just saying I know I should be freaking out and mourning our life back home, but…I don’t.”
“You’ve been here one day.” He was worrying about what would happen once they got to the planet. In all honesty, he wasn’t too homesick either. He guessed it would come. He’d miss TV, and having a beer, cheese-stuffed jalapenos alongside his beer.
“I know. I might cry in a corner soon, cursing myself for insisting on drinking those shots. If we’d gone home when you wanted to, we wouldn’t be here.”
He grunted.
