Chapter 15

"I was just a fool I don't know why I even cared about you, you don't want anyone to, I get it! You can remain a freak like you always wanted without the obsessive girl chasing you around! Fine, I'm cool, you'll never see me again...."

Over and over again, her words echoed in his head, he couldn't stop her angry but beautiful angelic face from popping up in his mind. She was gone, she even said it but he wouldn't admit, he knew too well that people who care just a little bit about him would always disappear without trace like the never came in the first place. He was so used to bottling up his emotions, people like him don't have freedom of expression, they have to keep everything to themselves.

He sigh when her voice came back again haunting him. Why can't he let go?

"Are we okay?" Jeff's voice came from above him, he pulled himself out from under the car he had been fixing since three hours.

"Don't you think a break will do you some good." He said in his usual jovial tone.

"M'fine." He mumbled not bothering to cast the man a glance, he returned back to adding the finally repairing touch to the car.

"Hey, am your boss!" Jeff said firmly not in an offensive way.

Elie went in the car seat totally ignoring his boss, he starts up the engine and it cheeps. He got out slamming the car door shut he pulled the cap open and cross check the engines.

"Hey boss, got your pair of cheeseburger and milk shake." Eric walk in with a paper bag.

"Come on take a break boy, is been three fucking hours since you got on that thing. Here try the cheeseburger." Jeff tries to persuade the lad. He knew about his mental health problems and about his family's death, the news had spread widely that month.

"No." He simply said as he grab the wrench and continued working. Food made him sick.

Jeff and Eric watch him work not knowing what to do he was stubborn and a little scary, anything can happen when he is around. But they cared, and both knew something wasn't right with him, usually he is calm and always in the clouds not like things changed much, rather he is hitting the engine and seem stressed out more than before.

Finally he succeeded in repairing the engine, most people will look at their success with a proud smile, he just slam the car door, wipe the grease off his hands and moved to another car.

"That's okay for today Elie, you've done a good job with the SUV." Jeff said sincerely.

"I'm not done yet." He replied tonelessly.

"Yeah, I know but you need to rest, your just a teenager and your body needs rest, come on, is your boss that's speaking to you." Jeff pulled him up, wore him his Jack and pushed him slighted to the door.

Elie didn't want to leave yet, his hands were till itching to do stuffs while his mind wonder away.

"Hey." Jeff called out when he had started making his way to the door, "it was not your fault." He mouthed.

Jeff's words were suppose to bring a little relief but it did no good. Elie is so used to little sympathy from people and he hates it, he didn't need their pity or help, he'll go to the end all by himself.

With both hands in his jacket pocket, he walked on the crowded street. The giggles of kids playing on the swing and pleasant smell of food made him sick! He found their giggles too loud! And the smell made him suffocate. He hated how the sky was brimming with the sun light, if he was God he would destroy the sun.

He stood far from the woods, just staring at nothing. He was never going to that treehouse what if she was there? He didn't want to see her, now she hates him. He had skipped all the classes he had with her just so she'll be comfortable. Maybe now that she wasn't around him she would make more friends.

He sigh running a hand in his hair. She was slowly killing him, he had never felt like this before, his heart would skipped each time he thought of her, and cold sweat will erupt from his skin, he wouldn't eat anymore not like he ate much before she came. He can't spend three minutes without her face popping up in his head.

Eyes brown as chocolate, hair as long as a mermaid without forgetting how curly and silky they are, skin as light as caramel a perfect match for her round face. Each time she laughed it sounded like summer rain, so appeasing and warm. She had all the qualities of a goddess. If only he could touch her.

He made his way back to the street down to his quiet area, with few houses and people.

He walked in the quite Street making one on one with the quietness, he loved it that way, no annoying children giggling, no horrible smell of food just quite and fresh.

He entered from the back of the house, knowing well he'll come across Hector, if he comes through the front door.

The house was quiet except from the cowboy movie playing on the TV, this must only mean Tina was out, Brad too, and Hector must have passed out on the couch from taking too much alcohol.  As usual he successfully sneak to his room. Locking the door behind him.

He took off his jacket, dropped his bag and went over to his desk. He was never out of idea, he knew exactly what to draw. He grabbed his pencil and a new sheet, cautiously drawing a circle, then he drew the brows, eyes, hair, lips, noses, jaw...

He sat there just expressing his feelings like never before till he was done.

Elie stare at his work sadly, he had drawn her, the girl who bluntly said she didn't care anymore, who had left without turning back, the girl who could kill him if she wanted but little did she know that.

It was your fault if she left, by the way she doesn't care about you, she just wanted to know for fun, she said it, she knows you're a freak, she knows everything now, she'll never come back! She knows how much of a fuck up bastard you are, she knows you killed them, yes she does! She'll tell it to them all! She hates you now!

The voice kept whispering, he banged his hand on the desk in frustration.

You know you deserve it, you want it, that's the right punishment for your actions.

He got up brutally from his chair and head to the sink, he reach under the sink and retrieve his pain killer, the Razor blade. He rolled the sleeve of his Turkey neck sweater exposing his pale scarred skin.

Do it! Do it!

He press the mental on his skin and pushed it further in his flesh, before moving it downward.

Elie watched his blood drop on the sink, he didn't feel anything, again he repeated his action three times before deciding it was enough punishment for the day.

He look down at his cuts in satisfaction and watch his thick dark red blood run down the sink in relief at least now he felt less guilty.

The banged! On his door snapped him out of his endless thoughts.

He turn up the tap and washed the blood from his wrist before pulling his sleeve up not bothering to treat the cut, it will heal on it own and after he would cut again.

The banging continued, growing loud and firmer.

He walk to the door with no rush, and pulled it opened immediately he was shoved to the wall roughly by Brad. Tina and Hector's rebellious son who was five years older than him.

Brady punched him on the stomach twice before pinning him on the wall.

"Don't ever leave me waiting like that!" He growled.

Elie was too familiar with his attack, not like he could do much, he knew he could easily kill Brady and Hector if he wanted but he also knew it wasn't right to kill and he might lost control over himself with only one punch.

The demons were craving for violence and he wasn't giving it to THEM any mistake from him might be fatal.

"Come here!" Brad pulled his hair and dragged him to the garage, "why did you cut your hair? Now it's damn hard to hold it!" He said as the made their way to the garage.

"Fix my bike." He finally let go of Elie's hair. "you better move your clumsy ass! I'm almost late for the race! And fix it well if I happen to fail I'll make you pay!" He threatened.

Elie examined the old bike, "I can't." He said.

"Who the hell are you kidding? You work in a fucking garage! You're a mechanic! Just do it or I'll make you!" He roared.

Elie did what he asked, he fix the bike but not permanently. Brad was so stubborn to listen, so he gave him what he wanted.

"Adiós!" Brad got on his bike and rode away.

Elie shut the garage door as he imagines what will happen when Brad is almost getting to the finish line.

"Elie!" Hector called from upstairs.

Not wanting to confront his foster father, Elie opened the garage door and walked out.

As he walked in the dark street he wish something will just happen, they type of thing that will put an end to his life of torment that way he wouldn't represent any danger.

He came to a stop behind the bushes in front of a beautiful house colored in white.

He looked through the widow with a figure, it was her, Christine! Only looking at her figure made him zone out, she was packing her hair in a ponytail. He watch her every move till she switched off the light.

Only freaks hide in bushes and observe there object of obsession, was he a freak for hiding? she wasn't an obsession rather she was his magnet, she had stolen something from him right from the first sight, he didn't understand was it was though, all he wanted was her back in the tree house with him in the woods even though it was impossible and he would never admit it.
