Chapter 53

"Scar, please, just do as he says. We really aren't in any position to piss him off." I harshly whispered before stealing a quick peck from him behind my dad's back and dashing off to his car. Oh god, this should be a fun ride.

No words were spoken as my dad drove, which was even scarier. I had expected him to be screaming at me, spitting with anger, but this brooding silent treatment he was giving me was even worse. My nerves were at an all time high as my breathing became shallow. We pulled up to my parent's house and I shot out of the car towards Scar, needing to warn him against saying something stupid. My dad ignored the both of us as he entered the house, slamming the door behind him.

"What the fuck, Evangeline!" Was the first thing Scar yelled out as he stormed towards me.

"This is what I was going to tell you before the guys showed up. I didn't want either of you to have to find out this way, but-"
