15) Betrayal

"Well, you must have felt sad when they did that."

"No point in talking about it now."

"By the way, that orc swordsman seemed too strong, even for a gaurdian."

"What do you me-"

"Ahem!"

Both Gi Wan and Lucy flinched.

"Human, you were quite fast and skillful. I thought humans wouldn't be so strong right now?"

"Hey, am I hearing things now?"

"No, even I hear it talk."

The orc swordsman was speaking.

"Haha, don't be afraid. I am one of the five irregulars of this planet's unification with the world."

The process which is going on on earth right now is nothing but an elimination process where the weak would be eliminated and the strong would be let to live along with the rest of the universe. This whole process was named as 'unification with the world'.

"Like Rai?"

The orc swordsman flinched as he heard Lucy ask a question.

"You know the thunder god's disciple?"

"Well, yeah he is our party member."

"Ah, so you both must be irregulars too."

"What irr-"

"Well, not exactly. I'm an apostle and she is a normal girl who happened to have great powers."

The orc swordsman's eyes started to waver.

"A-An apostle???"

"Yeah."

The orc swordsman immediately knelt down.

"O-Oh great one! I'm sorry for the discourtesy, I am-"

"Look here, I don't know why you all are shuddering with just the mention of me being an apostle but, I am not really strong right now. And you shouldn't lower yourself before someone as weak as me being the orc god's disciple, Kart."

The orc swordsman, Kart looked up in astonishment. He didn't expect an apostle to know him. He learnt human language while learning the way of the sword from his master, the orc god. While doing that he also gathered the important information about the world, so he knew very well about how significant the existence of an apostle can be.

"I-I'm honored to-"

"Drop the formal speech. Wanna join my party?"

"So it really was you Kart."

"Kyaaaa!"

"Human girl, stop being so loud."

Rai suddenly popped out of nowhere which made Lucy shout in astonishment.

"Rai! Why are you being so carefree infront an apostle???"

"Other than his handsome face, he got nothing else so great about him right now, and it's not like he prefers being addressed in formal speech all the time."

"He's correct. You should also start using informal speech now since you will be joining our party."

"When did I say I was going to join you?"

Gi Wan flinched. Kart was too strong for them to handle right now. Even Rai wouldn't stand a chance against him.

"Man, stop being so overdramatic. Let's go clear this du-"

Rai suddenly stopped his sentence.

"Oh. So? Will you fight against us?"

"I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of talking to humans if it were like that."

"Then? Will you kill your own kind?"

Kart smiled.

"Well, even my master gave me permission."

"I see, so what's holding you back?"

Kart stared at Lucy with cold eyes.

"Is that girl worth being in the same party as us?"

Lucy got angered by Kart's words and yelled at him

"Hey you p-"

"She is someone I know from before the unification, and she is strong enough to stand her grounds even against you."

"What?"

Kart smirked and looked down at Lucy.

"Try landing a single hit on her and I will let you decide whether she can stay or not."

Lucy caught on and redied 10 shield pieces.

"Don't regret what you just said."

Kart suddenly poured in a huge amount of aura into his greatsword and slashed Lucy.

DUDUDUDUDUDUDUDUDU!

The whole dungeon shaked violently.

CRACK!

Even three of Lucy's shield pieces broke on the spot. However...

"Heh, that's some serious power you got there. But you see, I'm unkillable."

Lucy quickly replaced the three broken pieces with other pieces. This led Kart to think that she had a huge amount of these pieces.

"Unbelievable! For someone who is not even an irregular to be able to do that!"

「An unknown error has occurred.」

"..?"

「The boss and the rest of the regular mobs and gaurdians are rushing towards you!」

"What?"

「Please kill them to clear the dungeon.」

RUMBLE!

A lot of rumbling noises could be heard from all the directions.

"GRAAAAAAA!"

An unimaginable number of goblin shamans and orcs are rushing towards the party. Everyone got into their battle postures and dashed towards a direction each. Gi Wan made a sword over his staff and started slashing all the orcs. Although he was struggling, he could manage it. On the other hand, Lucy was tanking all the mobs that came to her direction and casting a few fireballs. She is somehow managing to launch a fireball without the help of the grimore once every two minutes. Rai used lightning body and is slaughtering all the orcs that came his way. However, one side was completely unbelievable. Kart was completely doing a mass genocide and is taking on over 3/5th of the goblin shamans and orcs all by himself.

"Guaaaaargh!"

And then...

"Graaaaaaaa!"

The orc commander, the boss of the dungeon appeared. With his appearance, the orcs seemed to have become stronger. It was getting harder for Gi Wan to take care of the goblin shamans and orcs now.

"Tch! Kart, you should resolve this yourself."

「Due to the effect of the skill 'The World's Helper' you can now understand all the languages.」

"You fucking betrayer!"

So it was like that. It was actually quite weird that the orcs are mostly going for Kart, but to think they called him a betrayer...

'Well, he is a betrayer anyways.'

Gi Wan thaught that and unleashed his authority over aura and authoruty over mana at once. The teammates seemed alot stronger now, and the orcs are getting weaker.

'To think someone who just entered the unification could have this high authority over mana and aura... Even though I know he's an apostle, I'm quite envious.'

Finally, the teammates seemed to be pushing back the goblins and orcs. After a few minuntes...

「You can now, move to the fourth dungeon.」

「You have recieved 10 stat points!」

「You have gained the best rewards possible due to the effect of 'The World's Helper'.

You have obtained 'Class change ticket - Commander'.

You have obtained A-Class skill book 'War Zone'.

You have obtained A-Class skill book 'Roar Of The Captain'.」

"Haa, we are finally done."

Lucy and Rai followed Gi Wan as he sat down on the ground. However Kart was looking at his sword.

'Wow, what's so weird about killing your own race? So annoying.'

After a while even Kart sat down.

"Hah, guess I will be joining you party Mr.Apostle"

"Call me Gi Wan, and this girl here is Lucy."

"I see."

"Don't feel too bad, it was the best for your future. Being called a betrayer shouldn't waver you."

Kart looked to be at ease and spoke

"Yeah, I have to do this for my own future after all."

Lucy and Rai who were relaxing are now looking at the unfolding scene.

"However, what about the other orcs?"
