🐁 Once there lived a group of mice
Who lived peacefully with their wives.
Suddenly a cat threatened their lives
And became a cause for the children's cries.
🐁 Soon, the mice had a meeting
Adjacent to a giant clearing.
To chase the cat - they sweared
And courage in their hearts - they beared.
🐁 They decided to bell the cat
Whose sound would alert the rats.
Now, a new problem arose
The solution to which wasn't a bed of rose.
🐁 Who'd bell the cat was the question
To which a young mouse gave a brilliant suggestion:
He would try to distract
While another would bell the cat.
🐁 Some decided to follow the plan
While others were petrified and ran.
The mice decided to find
The cat and bell it from behind.
🐁 Exhausted, they finally found
the cat lying on the ground.
It was having a nap - sound
And the mice decided to move without a sound.
🐁 Silently, they belled it
With a change in the plan from their wit.
Near the cat, they lit
a fire making it jump and sit.
🐁 The bell's ring echoed in its ears
Making it tremble with fear.
Trembling, the cat ran far away
Making the mice laugh hard that day.
🐁 On chasing away the yellow tabby
The mice were really happy.
Eager to celebrate their victory,
They went on to enjoy a tasty quaggy!!
