Anger!;
With some more inspecting Kerren's mood turned grim.
The thing insdie of him started acting weirdly again! He didn't know why it happened at all, his best guess was he was closer to something it wanted to get, but what was it?
Could it be a bigger lump of it and it worked like a manget?
After using some spells to check if this theory is correct or not his mood worsened once again!
There was indeed a giant lump of that thing somewhere! He couldn't see, but he could feel that something was trying to pull him closer!
Whatever it was... it wont bring him any good! As such, he decided to take action immediately!
He used lots of his newly obtained spells... eh, modified spells to check out the room!
Sadly, he didn't find anything! It had a different puzzle that one had to solve.
He, however, did locate something that could help him. There were several strange spots, but he couldn't understand why they were so special.
From the first glance it was nothing but an anomaly that exuded strange aura around it. However, as he used his spells to inspect it further...
It attacked him! It laucnhed a simple mana-arrow right in Kerren's head! He easily blocked it, but it did catch him off guard!
He couldn't be careless now, those things wanted him dead!
But, there was a good thing about it, he noticed that aura of that thing changed somehow, he still couldn't understand how, but it felt different.
...
After some testing he found out that if he got too close to the spot - it would attack him and its aura changed!
It wasn't all that useful since it reverted back to it's usual state after a minute or so...
His best guess regarging those things was that they were semi-alive or something like that, and when he got closer it agitated them, thus their attack.
However, as he got closer to one spot several times in a row it made stronger and stronger attacks!
Those, of course, wont ever harm Kerren, but it started wasting more and more of his mana!
After some more testing and "agitating" that particular spot it...disappeared!
Kerren thought that it was the solution to this secret room, thus he moved towards the next spot and agitated it aswell!
To his surprise it didn't attack with level 1 attack as the other spot did initially, it attacked him with a level 5 attack! The one that the first spot used as his last resort!
Thus, he understood that this was probably the correct solution. He needed to agigate all of them and survive their attacks to get a clue!
As such, he started doing just that. After some time he was hit with a level 25 attack, that wasted 2 whole percent of his total mana...
What's so bad about it?.. Well, there were 3 more spots that he needed to "disarm"...
He felt somewhat strange since those attack could already kill a normal "B" ranked protector, but there were 15 more levels?..
...
After some more time Kerren decided to wait it out, he was at level 36 now and that attack almost "killed" him! It breached his defence skill and passed throught his head!
If he was a normal human he would be dead now! As such, he decided that he needs to prepare to "disarm" the last spot.
It wasn't that big of a deal since he knew several barrier that would help him.
However, when he tried to place them... They simply refused to work! Normally, if one made a special drawing on the ground and added mana it will have some effect based on the drawing, but here?... It didn't work!
He even tried placing mana crystals instead of just giving mana to the drawing, but they were simply absorbed into the room!
As such, Kerren understood that he needed to do it without any "external" help! It wouldn't be that big of a deal if he had full mana, but he was at 20% of his total mana now!
Those attacks before weren't a joke! Yes, they didn't waste a lot of his mana, but there was a lot of them!
He could afford to be careless since even if it hit him he wouldn't die, but wasn't it too much?
He was too careless and it he didn't have enough mana he would've been dead now! Of course, if he was a normal human he wouldn't risk as much, so he didn't think too much about it.
As he was about to start "resting" here he noticed that the thing inside of him started getting livelier and livelier!
He didn't like that at all. Last time it did that he almost f*kking died! As such, he decided not to risk dying and took out some crystals to refill his mana faster!
However, as he did so... They were absorbed by the room once again!
Kerren felt strange, he wasn't scared that he could die, but he didn't understand why the room did that, could it be that those crystals could break something?..
He then tried protecting the crystal so the room doesn't absorb it immediately. Sadly, he didn't have much mana left thus he needed to be fast and precise!
...
Nothing worked! Kerren started feeling strange, it's not like he was scared or anything, he felt... angry, he wasn't good enough to do whatever he wanted even after reincarnating!
He knew more than any other human in his world!.. Well, in some matters, his magical knowledge was #1 in the world without a doubt, even so, why was he failing so much!?
He was angry because of his own weakness!
He tried more and more methods, he even started making new spells that could work... None of them worked!
More than that, the room didn't even break his spells or anything, it simply absorbed the crystal no matter what he did!...
But then, Kerren realised something insanely important, he didn't understand why he didn't get that after the first room, but...
Those rooms told him how to find the mosquitoe! Think about it, the first room wanted him to find a spec of dust in a dusty room! He did that, looking for the boss in the whole dungeon was akin to that test!
This room, however? It showed him how to defend against the mosquitoe! Could it mean that each attack of his would get stronger and stronger?
Well, not a problem, the first 30 or so he could tank with his bare body... As such, he only needed to deal with its ability to suck off mana!..
But, as he thought about it some more... Was he not just a lump of mana?.. Why wasn't he absorbed by the room?..
