Chapter 13

I knew it. I fucking knew it. I sensed it in the back of my head the moment I met her, the itch that disturbed me every second I spent with her. But she's skillful, practised even at deceiving people. 

She got me to let my guard down, had me feeling like the bad guy, what a brilliant show. But not anymore, she's exposed, skillful as she is she underestimated me and that led to her slip up.

Unless...this is what she wants me to think.

Gritting my teeth I fling the damned donut at her, I miss and she doesn't even flinch, still pleading for me to calm down.

Look at her, the glowing blue in her eyes still hasn't left, she's doing it again, trying to get me to lower my guard.

And yet…

What if? What if she wants me to come to react this way, laying the trail for a deeper trap. 

She's done it, gotten me to doubt myself over and over. I know there is deception and so I see it everywhere.

Breathing, I glare, "Who are you?"
