The Wolves Want to Play

Chapter One

"Katherine Bane if I get up there and your ass is still in bed we're going to have a problem" My mother, Lillian Bane yelled. I groaned and stretched my back, after hearing a couple of pops I rolled out of bed. "I'm out of bed Mom," I yelled back.

I got out of bed and headed to my bathroom to get ready, I tied my messy brown hair into a straight ponytail. I brushed my teeth and changed into a plain old sweatshirt that I thrifted and jeans. I went back into my room and shoved my homework into my backpack. After I was ready I headed downstairs into the kitchen.

"Good Morning" my mother called. My mother was gorgeous. She had perfect hair that always fell into gorgeous golden locks that she tied back, she was 5'7 and had very little wrinkles, the wrinkles that she did have just made her look classy in my opinion. As for me, I stood tall at 5'9 with my straight brown hair and my plain brown eyes, the only thing I got from my mother was my tan skin.

"Good Morning mom," I muttered back.

"You know it wouldn't hurt to lighten up some Hunny, and maybe glam up," She said as she kissed my forehead. "Maybe tomorrow Mom," I said trying to hush her.

"Don't give me that tomorrow crap, you know Katherine you would look so adorable if you wore that cute top I got you the other day." She said.

"Oh yeah, the one that's two sizes small. Mom, I'm pretty sure you bought it for yourself and then just gave it to me because you didn't like it." I said smirking.

"Don't be a smart ass, Katherine," She said as she passed me my keys and a freshly cooked piece of banana bread that she made this morning.

I hopped in my 2017 Chevrolet that my dad gave to me last year for my 16th birthday, I started the car and took the twenty-minute ride to Grimstone Highschool.

I pulled into a parking spot next to where Emma, my best friend stood. I stuffed my face full of the remaining banana bread as Emma spotted my car, she skipped over to it and knocked on the window when I raised my eyes to her she winked and blew a kiss, I caught it and touched my heart winking back. I got out of the car and headed towards her.

"Hey Emma, what's up," I said as I grabbed my best friend's hand.

"Nothing Kath, but look at that hottie over there." She said as she eyed Tedd. I elbowed her and chuckled. "That hottie has a girlfriend," I said laughing. "Yeah well, not for long." She pouted.

I patted her head and pulled her into math class.

After 3 classes Emma and I met up at lunch. "You know what Tedd asked me today?" Emma squealed.

I rolled my eyes "What Emma" I said.

"He asked if I wanted to go to his party tonight." She loudly squealed in my ear. "Oh, and he said I could invite whoever I want Kath." She continued.

"I'm assuming you want me to go," I said.

"Yeah duh, and you're going no buts. It's going to be so much fun we haven't been to a party in weeks."

"You act like I'm free tonight, and even if I was my parents barely let me go last time."

"Oh love I know you're free and just tell your parents that you're sleeping over at my house." She said.

"Fine," I muttered.

"Okay great, just bring your clothes that you want to wear to the party and I'll do your makeup. Also, Kath, I swear to god if you don't bring those big red sparkly heels I'm going to be mad." Emma said.

"Yea, sure," I replied. If I didn't agree she would nag me all lunch about the heels.

"Okay great!" She grabbed me and pulled me to the lunch table. We ate our tlunch and talked about the party. Mostly Emma talked about the party and I just nodded.
