Trouble causing helper

''I regret for asking for your help last night'' Nicole said and glared at the lady.

''Wow, so much for your redemption. You should just forget of going back and have fun here like I am doing'' she said to Nicole and sat down on her chair.

''What are you doing here?''

''I was sent to come and help you''

''The grim reaper sent you?''

''If not, who is capable of bringing me back to this world while I was on my way to the afterlife? But, I am curious. Why does he want you to return so much? Is there a secret about you that I need to know?''

''Nothing, don't pull that stunt again. I won't be able to attain redemption if you hurt that man''

''But if you end up dying by his hands, you won't be able to wake up again, ever'' Maris looked at Nicole daringly.

She and Nicole were once gifted people but she gave up on accumulating good deeds because she found out that her body was already dead. She didn't want to go back and be a burden to her family. But off course, Nicole didn't know about this. She only knew that Maris didn't want to be attending to ghosts and asked to be sent to the afterlife instead.

''Why do I feel that instead of helping me, you are here to cause me a lot of trouble?''

''Well, can't help it that I love to make trouble, but, I am here to help you attain redemption''

As they were chatting, Leo entered into the office. He stopped at the door and looked at her.

''Who were you talking to?'' he asked and looked around the office.

''Did you get the clothes for me? I will change in fast''

''I brought breakfast, let's eat together before you leave'' Leo said to her as she got to the door.

''I'm sorry but I have to take a rain check on the breakfast. Let's have dinner together instead'' Nicole said and went out.

Maris leaned closer to Leo and murmured, 'he is handsome. I see why it's going to be pretty hard for Nicole to attain redemption. With temptation like this, I could even go to hell'' she chuckled and went out.

Leo opened his drawer and picked a set of clean clothes that he had put there and went out to go and change.

At the ladies' washroom, Maris leaned against the still and watched Nicole as she changed.

''Can you not look at me like that? Turn away, it feels uncomfortable been watched like this as I change''

'Why? It's been a while since I last saw you and I am going to be pretty busy, so I might as well look at you''

'Pervert. What are you going to be busy with?''

'Finding lost souls for you. Wait, Nicole when was the last time you saw a dead person?''

''What kind of question is that?''

''Well, I heard from the grapevine that people like us when trying to attain redemption, it gets harder by the day. Have you seen any ghosts lately?''

''I haven't really been out and about lately but I can see Lizzy, Candy and granny. Wait, Lizzy hasn't been here since yesterday. I can't believe I forgot of her''

''Lizzy? The one whose fiancé is the man I saw?''

''Yes''

Outside the washroom. Priscy stood at the door and listened to Nicole's voice. She had followed her to the washroom and was certain that Nicole was the only one who was inside, but now she was clearly speaking to someone inside.

Priscy bit her nails and looked up seeing a worker coming towards her. She beckoned on the lady and she stopped.

Priscy leaned closer to her ears and whispered some instructions for her. The lady nodded and went inside while Priscy went back to the office.

On her while, she bumped into Nesli and almost fell but the latter was fast enough to hold her.

''Priscy, are you alright?'' Nesli asked her. she looked quite flustered.

''Yes, thanks for saving me''

''No worries. Is Leo in the office?''

''Yes, he is. Are you here because of Lizzy's case?'' she asked nervously. Lately, she hadn't been having enough sleep. She has been having dreams about Leo bringing the police to arrest her. It didn't also help that Ray had stopped picking her calls and is acting even strange.

''Yes''

''Tell me something Nesli, about Lizzy's case. Is finally over, right? [ Nesli looked at her as if he wasn't unaware of a thing] Well I mean, if the killer is not apprehended then is over, right? You couldn't find them''

''Who knows, the case isn't entirely closed yet. I have my own suspicions about the murder''

''You think the killer is close by?''

''No, I know whoever killed Lizzy is someone who is close by'' Nesli said and looked at Priscy, meeting her gaze. He could see the fear in her eyes which she tried to cover up.

''Well, I do hope that the killer is found so that Lizzy can receive justice and for Sun to also move on''

''Sure, I will go in and meet Leo then'' Nesli smiled and went away.

Priscy turned and saw the lady running out from the direction of the washroom. She looked terrified and her face had turned paled.

Nesli got to the door and turned, seeing the lady stop in front of Priscy but he didn't stay again and went straight into Leo's office.

The lady stopped in front of Priscy and shook her head as she panted for breath. Priscy frowned seeing this and asked.

''What happened?''

''Miss Priscy, there is a ghost inside the washroom. When I was about to steal the clothes, a hand held unto them, but strangely I couldn't see anyone and the still that Nicole was inside was still locked''

''So, you couldn't even do something as simple as that?'' Priscy asked irritably. She had asked her to take the clothes of Nicole out so that she wouldn't get anything to wear but even that was impossible. She was so vexed.

''I'm sorry, Miss Priscy, but I can't do it'' the lady said and Priscy's face distorted. She turned and saw Leo and Nesli in front of the office.

''Can't do what?'' Leo asked suspiciously and looked at them. the lady became terrified and stepped back.

''Nothing. I asked her to run an errand for me, but, there is no need for that. I can do it myself'' Priscy said hurriedly.

''I see'' Leo wasn't still convinced as he glanced at the lady.

''I will take my leave now'' the lady said and hurried off.

''I will be in my office if you need me'' Priscy said walked away.

''Do you believe it was just a small errand she was asking the lady to do?'' Nesli looked at Leo.

''Off course, it isn't. Let's proceed with the what we discussed earlier on'' Leo and Nesli were busy chatting as they walked away and saw Nicole walking hurriedly towards them. When they stopped, she walked passed them and went straight towards the office of Priscy. The two men looked at each other and got alarmed.

''That doesn't look good'' Nesli said.

''I know, right''

''But, why do I feel that she doesn't look like Nicole even though she is Nicole''

''That's because she is not Nicole. Nesli, I will call you later. I need to go''

''Alright''

Leo ran towards the Priscy but when he got there, the office was locked from the inside and he couldn't go in.

Nicole stood in front of Priscy with a sly gaze and a mocking smirk. The latter was confused and a little scared but she still maintained her composure.

''Is there anything I can help you with?'' she asked Nicole.

''Yes, but, I am not so sure whether you are ready to help me with what I want or not'' Nicole said and turned. She walked towards a one-line shelf at the side. There were picture frames of Priscy and award trophies lined up.

Taking one of the trophies, she looked at it and cocked her brows, turning to face Priscy, ''this is a recent one, right?'' she asked.

''Have you lost your mind? Put that away'' Priscy raised her voice as she stood up.

''Right, I must have really lost my mind but, what about you? Do you think that you still have your right mind intact?'' Nicole held the trophy lightly in between her fingers, such a way that, a slight push could send it falling. Since it was a glass trophy, there wouldn't be any saving grace should I fall down.

''I said put that back, right now'' Priscy said and Nicole chuckled and pouted her lips saying.

''I don't want to'' she removed her fingers and the trophy fell breaking into pieces. ''Oops, sorry!!! My fingers slipped'' Nicole chuckled.

Seeing this Priscy screamed, ''hey, are you crazy?''

''Yes, and that is how you are going to end up if you keep messing with me, Priscy'' Nicole took a step closer to her and pinned her between the shelf and the other trophies saying, ''be careful not to make me angry, or those behind you won't be safe either''
