Evelyn walked the empty halls with Marisolia, but she was getting more and more nervous the closer they got to the throne room.
"Relax," Marisolia said. "She will not harm you," she tried to joke, but it only served to make Evelyn more nervous.
"I cannot help it," she said. "I know I should not have snuck out last night and I know that if it was not for Clyde, things would have been much worse."
"You are right about that," Marisolia said. "But, try to loosen up a bit. She is not nearly as upset as you think she is."
"Okay," Evelyn exhaled. She tried to calm her nerves, but nothing was working.
A line of knights stood guard outside of the throne room and it did little to calm her fraying nerves. "Why are there so many guards today?" She asked Marisolia.
"Well, you certainly made an impression last night," she said.
"What do you mean?" Evelyn stopped in her tracks.
