Chapter 65:Order of White Rose

It took August a few days before he came back to his senses. Waking up, he opened his eyes and saw a very familiar place with a lot of beds around, vast windows and a white as snow floor.

Looking around, he stopped nobody close to him at the moment, trying to move his limbs proved to be impossible. His hands and legs were all bandaged, as well as all the areas around his chest.

He could feel echoes of pain resonating throughout his body from injuries. Nenneke must have had a lot of trouble patching him up.

Using telepathy, August contacted Nenneke.

"Nenneke, I'm awake," said August through the magic.

Before long, Nenneke with an angry face appeared in front of August. Her face was slightly red and her hands were slightly trembling.

Without giving August time to speak a single word, she scolded him, "August! Are you wishing for the death sentence for yourself? Are you aware that with those injuries that you received you could easily die, you know that?" giving slight pause, Nenneke continued not letting August speak.

"Of course, you know that! But still, why did you get yourself into this mess? Hunting a giant and prior knowledge that job will be much more than that, you still took it. Do you even have a head on your shoulders or not?" inquired Nenneke, looking at August with angry eyes.

"The pay was good," replied August quietly.

"I would hit you if you were not injured, but for now rest and please be careful in the future, your life is the only one given to you, don't test your luck so early." a sigh said Nenneke and started to check how the healing process was going.

Before long young woman runs inside the hospital with droplets of sweat on her forehead. She had a charming face and an alluring smile. She was not very high and stood at 165 cm tall, with long, ginger hair that was tied in a ponytail. Her big blue eyes looked very sightly.

"Miss Nenneke, there is someone that wants to meet you," said the young lady, while also looking between Nennekeand August, unsure of where to look at.

"Silvia, don't you see I'm quite busy at the moment" replied Nenneke and continued checking August.

"But they are too assertive and won't wait for long," replied Silvia with a slight panic on her face.

*Slam*

The doors that lead to the area of the hospital slammed open, revealing several men dressed in chained armour, with perfect posture, with swords hanging on their right hip and a red cloak around their shoulders with an emblem of a rose.

They walked inside without allowance and went ahead closer to Nenneke, pushing Silvia out of the way. Making her almost fall to the ground, while also holding their heads high in the air.

In the middle, between the 2 quiet young men, stood one elder. His attire was much nobler than others, indicating his prominent position in the Order.

He walked closer to Nenneke and looked her in the eyes, before looking toward August with that, his eyes burning with anger and a small glint of disgust.

"What do you 3 grown men breaking inside of the goddess temple can say about yourself?" said Nenneke with her voice slightly giving out poison.

"I order you to send this demonic beast away from here before I do that myself," said an elderly man, making emphasis on the word demonic and looking at August during that time.

August's eyes shrank looking at the man in front of him, but he stayed silent, not replying.

Nenneke looked at the man with frustration and replied, "Or you will do it yourself? Last I remember, this is the temple of Goddess, not your order Hugues de Napeys and orders of your puny order"

One of the young men got a hang of his sword, slowly starting to unleash it from the sheath intending to attack.

August, being almost fully disabled, could still move his hands and created a sign Axii on the man that tried to attack Nenneke.

Almost immediately, the man stopped. This didn't go unnoticed by either Nenneke or Hugues.

"You dare to use your foul sorcery on my man, freak?" said Hugues, looking down on August with his eyes full of intention to kill August.

Without fear in his eyes, August replied, "One more step and I will use my foul sorcery and make your subordinate kill you"

"August!" shouted Nenneke "This is a temple, you can't take death and blood here, only on the outside of this place"

She then looked at Hugues and his man "And you get out of here, This is a temple of goddess Melitele and I'm the arch priestess in this place, this is not your Redania or Aedirn where you can do whatever you want." Nenneke stood and looked directly in their eyes and continued.

"He," she pointed in the direction of August, "Will stay here until I say he can't stay. Do I make myself clear?"

With a snort, Hugues replied, "I will allow it for a week of time, and he will have to leave or I will come back and I won't be that friendly"

*Slap*

Nenneke slapped Hugues across his face, having no fear in her eyes and said in high pitches of her voice "I said: THIS IS NOT YOUR JURISDICTION, THIS IS A GODDESS MELITELE TEMPLE, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"

When another young man from order tried to attack, Hugues stopped him with his hand.

Turning around, Hugues started to walk back before turning around and saying "I give you one week"

This time August was the one to speak "If I see you another time, I will make sure to create a nice decoration with your body yours across the roads between Redanian cities"

This time Hugues could not handle it, he could handle insults from Priestess since they were untouchable, in case something bad happens with the priestess there could be dramatic consequences, but when 'Demon' argued with him, he could not contain himself anymore.

Unleashing his sword, he was about to take a step toward August to kill him when he felt a knife close to his throat.

"One more movement and I will make what August said real right at this moment," said Albert, that appeared behind Hugues.

"Sorcerer," hissed Hugues, "Release me and I will make sure to forget what you just did"

"I said if you do another step forward I will make sure it will be the last step you are gonna make in your entire life," whispered Albert in Hugues's ear.

"Alright" replied Hugues, putting his sword back into the sheaths and proceeding to walk away, but not before giving the last glace towards August and Albert, engraving their faces in his memory.

Albert completely ignored them and looked at Nenneke and August, asking, "What happened?"

With a heavy sigh, Nenneke replied "Those were the order of white rose, they are new here and spread influence working under the current rulers of the several kingdoms spreading their dumb ideology"

"What kind of ideology?" inquired Albert.

August was the one to reply before Nenneke could even start thinking "Getting rid of everyone that is different to normal humans since they think it is the way to get rid of all evil"

"Fanatics?" inquired Albert

Both Nenneke and August nodded in response.

But then Nenneke added "Even worse, they are noble fanatics"

"So I can expect problems," inquired Albert.

Nenneke replied "Most definitely"

Albert replied with a grin on his face, "So I will teach them some lessons in the future."

Nenneke stood up to walk away and said "Talk about this between the 2 of you, but don't overdo it and I don't want to hear all that"
