The Witch Bone

Cheng Yan, the sole breadwinner of his family, one night finds some old bone under an old tree. The origin of those bones results in his death. But this transports him back to thousands of years ago where witches not only existed but demons and spirit beasts roamed the skies and ruled the seas. Trapped in a body of the heir of the chieftain, Cheng Yan has to walk through the labyrinth of political unrest as an awakened god, in a mortal's body, to save the kingdom from his unscrupulous rivals, and save himself from jaw-dropping beautiful cousins. And the only weapon he had on his reincarnation was a string of bones. What will he do with those bones? Feed it to dogs? Turn them into bone soup? Wear around his neck as a fashion statement? Read to find out more! Note: Ahem, Froggo here, my summer vacation started and I thought "hey, why not" and started writing. My first ever prose writing ( my soul is a poet though). So, please check out and leave comments if you like it and if you hate it, I won't mind having some of your power stones thrown at me. (not kidding) ahahahahah And also do not judge my novel yet based on the synopsis. It's an "East Meets West" fantasy fan-fiction. I am going all out! Will be busy for a month. Chapter release rate will be affected. Leave a review as well. XIeXie!

Wicked lady shaman

"Lady shaman, I don't even have 1% of my spiritual powers. How can I fight your clone that has 5% of your spiritual powers?" Bai Hua finally found the use of his tongue and said despairingly.

"I didn't tell you to kill my clone but to merely wound it. Surely you have the physical ability to do such damage. Your father has been praising you to the skies on how you spar with him often and that you would often sneak out to exchange blows with the beasts in the forest. Isn't that the reason why you were late today? Of course, the rule did say before sunrise but you made me wait."

Bai Hua could not help but curse his so-called lazy father in his heart. Why bring trouble to him at a time like this? Firstly, he got this fairy looking shaman to be a part of the ritual only to be disregarded by her and dumped with a clone; secondly, he shoots his mouth off about "Bai Hua's" abilities when the soul knows nothing about actual fighting.

The only real fight he had been in his past life was when he accidentally hit someone in front of him, out of anger in a stadium gallery, while watching a football match when his club lost. Cheng Yan had to apologize profusely before the victim had the chance to call on his friends to gang up on him. If that can be even called fighting. Everyone in his previous life knew that he was a history nerd. And now he was living in a world where there had been no recorded history of such civilization in all the history books he had ever read.

"But... what if I die?" Bai Hua hesitantly asked.

She looked incredulously at him as if he had said that he wanted to marry her. Somewhere the soul of the real Bai Hua must be weeping at his tenant's nonsensical words.

"Nobody can die inside this space. That is why I brought you here. Normally you won't even get to see this but as the heir of this kingdom, you're bound to see this one day."

"Just wound my clone. A drop of blood will suffice. While you can't get out of this space until you defeat it. It is either defeat my clone or be trapped here for the rest of your life. So, you better start moving."

Saying these words she smiled evilly and disappeared leaving a faint light.

Which part of this ritual did my lazy father really enjoyed? He was sure it must have been the fight. Though he calls his father lazy he knew that his father was a ruthless and peerless fighter in the kingdom who enjoyed winning more than his wine. Thus, the sad life of the previous Bai Hua living in the shadow of his father. Though Bai Hua can be called a really good fighter almost a prodigy among his contemporaries but people always tend to compare him with his father. And so the kid lived quite a miserable life without a mother and with a father that shined too bright.

And now Cheng Yan only has Bai Hua's memories to help him escape from this red space.

The clone did nothing all this time. But it waited for his first move. Like it was confident like its original that Bai Hua was a kid who was wet behind the ears and did not need it to force itself.

Bai Hua realized this and felt anger for the first time after arriving in this world. There was not only anger but the thirst to prove himself. The thirst to step out of his father's shadow! The thirst to make that wicked shaman kneel before him one day!

Lucky ones, look out for your names in the coming chapters.

Keep being nice and read my novel. Thanks!

Namaste.
