The Legend of the Kingdom of Soaring Dragon

The one who was most shocked was the concerned person himself.

He knew what it meant to have a soul as deep and as wide as the ocean. There were legends about it. Legends that had remained legends that people had taken it as myths, something that was only possible in fairy tales. But now he had it. He was a possessor of a godly soul. But he was only 14 and did not have the foresight of the immensity of this situation.

There was a reason why the ruler of Soaring Dragon was called a "lord" and not the king or emperor. Because according to the legends, the real king was a god who had left the worldly affairs to his mortal son who inherited the kingdom. But his son assumed the title of a Lord and remained a Lord even though he was the ruler of Soaring Dragon. And so all the succeeding rulers had maintained this tradition over thousands of years hoping and waiting for the real king to appear. Nobody had dared to call himself a king or a queen knowing that the real king was a god even thousands of years later. Nobody was that arrogant to compare oneself to a god.

"And now a candidate has appeared," thought the Head Shaman.

She could feel the vastness of the spiritual power of the boy, the strength of his soul. It reminded her of her old friend. She became thoughtful at this.

Suddenly Bai Hua broke the silence.

"That means I don't have to stay here for a month? Can I go home?" Something bothered him about the whole incident and instinctively he wanted to leave this place.

His father replied this time, rescuing him, "Yes, you need not stay here as all your spiritual powers have been restored. I don't think the Head Shaman would object to that."

Now that he found out that his son possessed a godly soul, there was an unquenchable thirst rising from him that wanted to spar with his son. He wanted to see how powerful his son had become after this ritual! He was not trying to rescue Bai Hua at all. Ah.

She replied, "Yes, I will not reject this but there is a matter that I want to clarify. Leave him to me for another night." And added mysteriously, "There is something I need to confirm about his soul."

And seeing the sour look on Bai Yur's face, she laughed and said, "You don't need to fear anything. Your son will be returned to you in one piece. I am not going to do anything immoral against him. Let your mind be at peace."

Seeing through his facade, she impatiently added, "You can fight all you want with him after tomorrow. Let him stay here for tonight."|

Disappointed at this news, Bai Yur looked helplessly at Bai Hua and then at Wana and then a sudden evil glint appeared in his eyes.

"Wana, come with me to the red space. Best of three. And if you win, I'll let you have the best wine from my personal stock. What do you say?"

Bai Hua and the Head Shaman knew where this was coming from. The Head shaman had frustrated his thirst for a battle with his son and now he needed to vent it somewhere. And he found the perfect candidate.

Wana was reluctant at first but after hearing the prize she said, "Deal." She also wanted to vent her frustrations. Right now, she did not even want to look at Bai Hua. And she disappeared after saying that followed by Bai Yur.

"Now that we have those two away, we can talk without those two meddling in."

Bai Hua felt something shift and then appeared in another place. It was also morning in this place. There was an average-sized pond and he could see some lotuses blooming on the surface of the pond.

"Would you like to have some tea, Bai Hua? Or should I say Little Emperor?" said a mirthful young voice from behind him.

I am sorry for the cliffhanger. Or am I?
