The awaited star arrives

Most of the young men were openly gawking at these two beauties. When they realized the identities of both these women, they were overwhelmed! They had heard of the shamans of the Soaring Kingdom but nobody had seen them. They were confined in the sacred grove and only met with the royal family of the kingdom.

They had also never appeared ever before. This would be their first in the thousands of years. They had never meddled with the kingdom's affairs. Keeping themselves aloof and detached from the world.

Some of the nobles of the kingdom itself had also never seen the shamans. Their ancestors had also never seen them. Sure, some lucky people like Xiao Lok had seen the maids of the shamans. But this was a first and everybody who had gathered there inhaled deeply at this fact.

Some of them were engraving everything in their hearts, taking this as an opportunity worth living for. Heck, they were going back to their respective homes with bragging rights from tonight's events!

Both of the beauties serenely glided into the hall. They left traces of lotuses blooming behind them as they made their way towards the Lord. They looked like goddesses who had come into the mortal realm to grace them.

He had stood up to welcome them. Clearly, he respected the Head Shaman and Wana.

Wana appeared distracted like her mind was somewhere else.

The Head Shaman spoke first,

"Excuse her, Little Yur, she still feels unhappy about the duel with Bai Hua. But good thing, she didn't decline the invite."

Hearing this some people who were standing near the Lord, sucked in their breaths sharply. She had called him 'Little Yur'! And the Lord had just stood there complacently. Who would have thought they'd be seeing miracles tonight!

"Hahahahaha... Head Shaman, you don't need to explain at all to me. Please take your seats."

Two seats were produced for them near the Lord.

"So, he isn't here yet?" enquired The Head Shaman.

Just then a figure appeared in emerald robes. He wore no jewelry and his robes were quite plain without any embroidery. There was just a dragon design embossed in silver around the cuffs. His robes trailed as he walked in. His long jet-black hair was tied in a bun with a white jade hair accessory.

He looked simple. And he had a calm aura about him.

Some people had not even noticed his entrance.

Bai Yur saw his son entering the hall with clothes which were clearly not prepared for this occasion. He narrowed his eyes. His son was becoming more rebellious after the incident where he escaped before his ritual.

He was clearly defying him by not wearing clothes that were appropriate for this occasion. He once again sighed to himself and thought about how not having a mother was showing its adverse effects on Bai Hua.

The Head Shaman and Wana had also noticed his entrance.

There was laughter in her eyes as she said solemnly, "The star of this event has arrived."

It was soft and enchanting but crisp and loud enough to be heard by most of the people who had gathered there.

Then, they turned towards the entrance and only saw a 14-year-old kid commoner who was walking in solemnly, clearly irked by the attention he was receiving.

Before anyone could react, the Lord grimly said, "Everyone, I introduce to you my son, Bai Hua!"

This night was filled with one surprise after another. Some of the kingdom's nobles and their children who had interacted with Bai Hua before were wearing awkward smiles. Ah, the Young Lord still behaves like this event on this grand occasion.

While outsiders were rubbing their eyes to see if he was not just some commoner or if his clothes looked common because of the lighting in the hall.

No doubt Bai Hua looked handsome even without grand clothes, but they couldn't just comprehend why he was dressed that way.

So, the rumors were true. Thought everyone who was seeing him for the first time.

Bai Hua walked in and came and stood by his father's side.

The Head Shaman was laughing mischievously inside. She was already angry at him for all the troubles he had caused and was about to cause. And couldn't help but be satisfied at his discomfort.

As if by instinct, Bai Hua shot her a glare. And she answered with a sweet innocent smile.

Those people who saw the Head Shaman's sweet smile felt like their hearts were captivated forever. They didn't know that she was actually thousands of years old. They just thought that she was some 24 or something-year-old Head Shaman.
