The Witch Bone

Cheng Yan, the sole breadwinner of his family, one night finds some old bone under an old tree. The origin of those bones results in his death. But this transports him back to thousands of years ago where witches not only existed but demons and spirit beasts roamed the skies and ruled the seas. Trapped in a body of the heir of the chieftain, Cheng Yan has to walk through the labyrinth of political unrest as an awakened god, in a mortal's body, to save the kingdom from his unscrupulous rivals, and save himself from jaw-dropping beautiful cousins. And the only weapon he had on his reincarnation was a string of bones. What will he do with those bones? Feed it to dogs? Turn them into bone soup? Wear around his neck as a fashion statement? Read to find out more! Note: Ahem, Froggo here, my summer vacation started and I thought "hey, why not" and started writing. My first ever prose writing ( my soul is a poet though). So, please check out and leave comments if you like it and if you hate it, I won't mind having some of your power stones thrown at me. (not kidding) ahahahahah And also do not judge my novel yet based on the synopsis. It's an "East Meets West" fantasy fan-fiction. I am going all out! Will be busy for a month. Chapter release rate will be affected. Leave a review as well. XIeXie!

I became mute

"You're wondering where we are? We are in a space inside The Holy Tree. For normal ritual, you have to last for at least a quarter of an incense stick in combat to progress. You shall then need to meditate for a month in our grove until you regain your spiritual powers. "

"But, today your father has requested another additional rule for you. He has asked me to let you fight me for the same length of time. Normally I don't participate in an initiation ritual, but this time I shall concede to your father's request."

She flicked her hand and a wide array of weapons appeared before him. Sadly, there were no guns or grenades but it had a variety of weapons that he had seen in his history books which he seems to recognize due to Bai Hua's memory. Suddenly his right leg began to itch and when he looked down, he gasped in utter shock to find a sleek ivory sword strapped to his thigh and the anklet he was wearing earlier was gone!

"Or you could use that," continued the shaman and flicked her hand again. The weapons disappeared like it was never there.

Bai Hua had been so dazed from the moment he met her that he had become mute. He hadn't said anything or even asked her name. The previous Bai Hua had good aesthetic sense and appreciated beauty, now with Cheng Yan's soul, he had become a simpering idiot in front of a beauty like this shaman.

But memories have a power of their own and the body has a mind of its own. The previous Bai Hua was a combat-loving, sparring addict. And so, as if it was like any other combat, he drew his sword and took up a fighting stance.

"How many game parlors have I visited in my previous life? How many virtual combats have I won? And this kid's body is brimming with fighting spirit. What could go wrong with his fighting experience and my 100% surefire strategies?" He inwardly asked himself as his body's thirst for battle slowly pulled him out of his daze.

Well, he thought wrong because everything went wrong when she scoffed and said,

"Your father must have been dreaming when he asked me to participate in this little game. Though he may have his reasons it doesn't mean I have to exert myself. Why do I have to fight a kid who is still wet behind the ears? "

She grabbed a sword out of thin air and said with an eerie smile, "We don't need to fight that long." Suddenly another woman appeared in front of him who looked exactly like her.

"She is my spirit clone and has 5% of my powers if you can wound her then you have passed the test."

Saying this she flung her sword towards them effortlessly like she was flipping a tiny strand of her hair.

The clone grabbed the sword like it was nothing and stood unaffectedly.

Bai Hua may be 14 years old now, but his soul was that of a matured man. Cheng Yan was 27 when he died. Bai Hua may have had no experience regarding courtship or male-female relationship, but Cheng Yan knows when a woman is disregarding his very existence! And right now he was Bai Hua, the young lord of this kingdom for goodness sake! Wasn't this like a slap to his young face?

Leave some comments for me.
