I am golden and I feel high

As his mind wandered off, it became dawn. All the events had occurred in a single night. His life was completely turned over in a single night. And here he was sitting calmly under the Holy Tree looking as if he didn't have a care in the world. And thinking about a bone like a dreaming dog!

He had exhausted all possibilities regarding the bone and decided to treat it as a boon until he finds more about it in the future.

The sky was glowing and he could see his surroundings more clearly.

It was summer in Nanjing when he died. It was stifling in summer. But here inside the sacred grove, he couldn't even say as there was an overhanging fog beyond the clearing intensifying the mysteriousness of the shamans. Even the trees looked ageless just like the two shamans that he had met so far. He couldn't tell at all.

He took a deep breath and finally stood up. It was the morning after the day of his arrival. He looked towards the east and saw the sun that was slowly appearing out of the horizon.

Then he felt a tinkling all over his body. His skin was glowing. He raised both of his hands and gasped in amazement. He was glowing golden. He felt all his spiritual powers rushing from all directions and entering his soul like children returning to their parents after getting lost. The spiritual powers returning to his soul seemed to be in a state of excitement. This feeling was transcendental.

He has never felt this way in his previous life and he could tell that Bai Hua had also never felt like this from his memories. This was a feeling one would describe as surpassing the highest kind of high achieved by consuming the most expensive grade of drugs.

His body hovered above the ground and even his hair became untied. His hair was fluttering in the breeze that was being generated by the rushing spiritual powers.

The sun was now fully risen. It no longer touched the horizon.

Then everything became calm again. His feet touched the ground and he looked at his hands that were slowly returning to its normal shade. There was a tint of gold on him. Even his hair had retained a golden tint although it appeared dark. It shimmered in under the sun. Like his hair had golden dust. Then it all went back to normal.

Suddenly, three figures appeared.

It was his father, the "wicked shaman" and another woman whom he had never seen before. And they all had a look of surprise. The new woman had a look of understanding while his father and the "wicked shaman" were undoubtedly surprised. And all of their reasons were different.

His father was shocked because he felt that he was not looking at his son but a different person. His aura had changed.

The "wicked shaman" could not believe her eyes that this little kid had recuperated all his spiritual powers in less than a day!

The other woman had her own reasons.

"Wana, you did not even leave clothes for the Young Lord, after he passed the ritual. Why is he still wearing that?" chided the woman, who was directing her reproach towards the "wicked shaman".

Ah, so her name is Wana, thought Bai Hua. He felt at an advantage now that he knew her name. Earlier, she had knocked him out. He had scores to settle with her and it seemed to be increasing more as he interacted with her.

"Head Lady, I didn't realize he'd be up so soon. I put him to sleep so that he could rest after the battle. I meant to gave it to him after he woke up" She said blamelessly. "Then we all felt that stir in the spirits some moments ago and you and The Soaring Dragon's Lord appeared here beforehand."

"Put me to sleep?" thought Bai Hua ruefully, "more like KOed me against my wishes. And she has the nerve to look like it was all innocent on her part. Ah."

Next chapter coming soon.
