Epilogue

Sea monster…?

The word echoed many times in her ears. The strong sea breeze had brought it but refused to take it away. Could she have misheard? Maybe 'the master' not 'sea monster?'

No. She's pretty sure. It's the sea monster.

Could it be true? A real sea monster in an absolutely gorgeous human form. Like in that book?

The branches of the tree above rocked enthusiastically like her mind. She had read many, countless, fantasy books, but had never seen one comes true. It's fantasy! No one expects it to be true!

But if it's really, really true, if what she heard was right, then this evening walk would worth everything in the world. She'd discovered something that she'd been hoping for all her life. Her true love.

Her true love carving from the beautiful words became a real human, real monster, and pretty much alive like her.

She doesn't need those books anymore.
