CH.41 - Memories ?

Enkai launched himself at the breathtaking speed, surprising the woman and the old man, they never thought this boy had this in him.

In reality only the woman looked down on Enkai, she was just a woman enjoying power when not really well earned.

As for the boy and the man, they were seasoned veteran, don't let someone's apparence fool you.

Like the seemingly little boy was actually a veteran, Enkai wasn't a weakling. The two knew that, and although not in apparence, they were actually tense on the inside.

The little boy, named Alpha particularly knew, after the first exchange, he actually felt numb from the punch.

And even if Enkai was sent flying, the boy wasn't badly hurt and he even saw him healing at fast speed.

And about being two against one ? They had no issue with it. Honor ? Will it save you on the battlefield ?

Not only the two knew but Enkai also knew.

Although he didn't fought for his life on Earth, when participating in Kendo tournament people who knew they couldn't win fairly tried to cheat. And this didn't happened one or two times.

And from his time in the abyss he also understood that only by being strong would you be able to survive in this world.

It was common sense, « When in Rome, do as the Romans do », of course it was a little bit different, but he had to adapt.

Fortunately he already did long ago.

Back at the staring contest the three had, watching their every movement, seeing who will make the first move.

Enkai was the one to go on the offence first, he couldn't let both of his enemies surround him and gain an advantage.

He launched himself toward the man dressed like a cowboy, judging by the fact he carried this big weapon around he should rely more on it, and so, not letting him any space to defeat him.

Of course the man was in no way weak, to carry a big cannon like he did, strength would be needed.

As so, when Enkai punched connected to the man's stomach, he didn't think about the pain and immediately retaliated.

Of course Enkai's punch hurt like hell, but the man didn't know, still underestimating Enkai, as he saw the little boy sending him flying.

It resulted in a pretty comical situation…well until the force of each punch was applied and the winner of this contest was Enkai.

Enkai, who wiped some blood coming from his mouth, looked at the two who were getting up next to each other.

"Oi, Alpha, how are you?"

"Old man James can't you see? My ribs are hurting so much right now. He's truly powerful let's use our tattoos, I don't think we stand a chance otherwise."

The old man, James, was still a little doubtful.

"Are you sure ? I now that he is very strong but, if we use it we would lose Life force for a power up, don't forget we don't have a coloured tattoo, just a normal one"

"…Urgh, do you want to sacrifice some life force now and live or die now?"

"Well, you're right little guy"

"Don't call me little guy"

While they were talking to each other, Enkai who was recovering felt slightly weird.

'I am here ? Hmmm, can you stop ignoring me ? They are aware there is no Honor in this fight right ? They are two versus one'

Enkai didn't waste any time, he wasn't going to let them talk and recover the faster he finished the faster he could check on Yue and Amelia. As he was sent flying through the trees he didn't have any contact with them yet.

But as he was going to attach the duo, he felt a pain coming from his legs, as if he was hit by something very hard.

Enkai turned to look at where it came from and was surprised to see the woman holding a…

'Gun?'

"We don't have time, let's take the necklace and get out, I killed him, something you two couldn't do, I will be sure to tell the boss" the woman said smugly, she aimed at Enkai's head from afar, she was using this object for the first time since it came from another continent. But she felt that the job was done.

"You're really annoying, not only you are a thot but you're also ugly" Enkai said angry.

He wasn't angry about being shot or anything like that, but the fact that she was annoying.

Like when you are trying to sleep and then hear the buzzing sound of a mosquito close to you, you wake up to kill it only for him to turn invisible once the light is on.

You can only return to bed and here comes the mosquito again…frustrating right ?

And so Enkai used the ultimate technique against those beings,

"Begone." With a big punch on her face she was sent to the moon…or not, but she definitely died under Enkai's fist.

As he turned around to face the duo one again he found out their body to be shining gold and not carrying any weapon, the aura they projected seemed to be also stronger. Enkai understood he let them have their power up and rest.

'This is why I hate mosquitoes…'

Alas, the power up from the "tattoo" seemed really powerful, the two, which earlier were at best putting a decent fight were now able to suppress Enkai.

But only for a few reasons, first Enkai was not using his weapon, as much as he hated to say it, he didn't have any non-lethal move fast enough and powerful enough to bypass his enemies awareness and Enkai didn't want to kill them right away.

It would be stupid, they were only subordinates of a man and so not his real enemy. He needed to have them give him information before disposing of them.

He also needed to know what was the tattoo they were talking about, and how it was related to the necklace.

And so the fight continued, the trees surrounding had long been corroded by the flames and a lot of smokes were coming out of the forest.

He didn't know about the civilian living here but fortunately no one was there, knowing that by the lack of blood except his or his adversaries.

'Oh yeah there is also Shea, totally forgot about her'

The fight was really tiring, both mentally and physically for both parties.

Unfortunately time was running out for the duo and they knew it, the old man James could be called a Grandpa and the boy still looked the same, but his movement were more and more robotic. It was because of the "tattoo" they used.

Enkai didn't know anything about this but noticed the strangeness of the duo, but didn't ask anything. Why would he ask something not concerning him ?

"Oi, Oi, isn't that boy ridiculous? What a monster"

"…yes, and I didn't want to you but he never used his weapon at all"

"…do you think I didn't notice little guy?"

"I already told you not to call me like that…so what do we do?"

"Meh…I don't know, I think our life is coming to an end"

"Dying in a fight…there is better but I can't complain"

Enkai looked at the two having a manga scene, was this a show, where were the hidden camera.

"Oi boy, I guess you have questions for us, ask away we will answer them"

Now Enkai was really freaking out, they fought to deaths moments ago and now they were chatting as if nothing happened.

Seeing the boy reaction James laughed loud, even Alpha gave a chuckle. "Hahahaha, we are already dying, and to be honest I hate what our master has become so let me help you a little bit."

"…Who is your master ?" Enkai asked, he didn't know if they said the truth but, seeing that their body were no longer shining and their weapon damaged beyond repair gave him a little bit of security, in this state he could beat them if they tried something.

Although Enkai was also in a poor state and his clothes were tattered he, his silver hairs had some burns and smoke while he was sweating hard.

"You should know him, it's Ehit, the "God" of this world…but don't worry he is not a "God" his influence is only in this continent, he is too afraid of going against these people"

"What about the tattoos, and the necklace?"

"…Void Maker, I think you already know it's name right ?" A question to which Enkai nodded.

"Void Maker is one of greatest tattoos known. It has the power to create miniature black holes or voids that instantly swallow up anything in its path. It is a trigger-less tattoo meaning it does not require any prerequisites to activate, to make it short, it's a weapon of mass destruction, and even being like our master or of these other continents would die, I mean no one can live in the void…"

Enkai was shocked, but didn't let it show in his face.

'So that necklace is actually really powerful huh…'

"How to awaken it?"

"Hahahahha we don't know, we were just tasked to retrieve it, well I hear our master talking about the blood of a "Void Walker" I don't know anything more than that boy…"

"Our time is up" Alpha who was quiet suddenly spoke.

"…Haha it truly is ! Well boy it's a goodbye! And be careful of not become something or someone you hate…it's my last advice as an elder!"

And so the duo disappeared, nothing grandiose, as if time passed and they became clay, letting the wind carrying them.

As for Enkai, he sat down on one of the trees, who now became burned as the fire finally went out.

'Is this a manga…? An person giving advice to his enemy?' Enkai looked at where the duo previously had been. A wry smile on his face.

'But…not becoming something I hate…?' Enkai looked at his own hands and at the necklace hanging down his neck. Thinking of how powerful he could be.

He knew that he had numerous skills but he never focused on one except for the wind. To be honest his skills were a mess.

'Ahhhh….let's see what the futur hold for me' Enkai thought as he got up.

"Enkaiiiiiiiii, please heeeeeeeeelp" Enkai heard an annoying voice he knew unfortunately now so well.

He looked towed Shea, running while behind her was twenty or so monsters behind her not any weaker than her.

As he was about to take his Katana to help her and kill the monsters something happened.

His blue-ruby eyes shined and became bright red and also turned orange on the inside. The necklace on his neck shined a little bit and Enkai had a vision and while the vision was playing in his mind he unconsciously reproduced the actions at the same time.

He unleashed a technique, the surrounding wind became heavier as the rushing wind that pulled the monsters toward Enkai's position, the twenty monsters were all regrouped, it didn't end here, as the wind also lift Enkai into the air and seeing the monsters under him, created a small wind tunnel before doing a plunging attack imbued with the power of the wind.

As enkai came to contact he noticed that his blade as if multiplied hit all monsters and almost killed them all. And as Enkai fell on the grounds, a shockwave was unleashed, finishing the final monsters.

As the dust from the wind sent down, Enkai coughed several time but only one things was on his mind.

'What the f*ck happened?!'
