Meredith kept looking at the stone, while the guests began to wonder about her strange behavior. She shouldn't hesitate to take such a precious gift.

- What's wrong with her? Why she didn't take the gift?

Meredith noticed their glares.

" Dammit! What should I do? She trapped me in front of everyone."

Julius was even more worried, he knew that the noblemen will ask to execute her if they knew that she is a witch. 

- Helen, stop right now.

But she pretended that she didn't hear him:

- Why won't you take it? Did you hate my gift? Or should I give it to your daughter?

- No! I...I'm happy to receive such a gift. 

Meredith smiled in a hopeless attempt to control the situation, she looked at Julius teary-eyed which made his heartache. He tried to interfere, but Meredith held him back. She didn't have a choice but to take the stone, especially since Seraphina was in danger.
