Everyone knew the rule, so nobody said anything and got in line, starting to take out things from their backpacks. Some of them had storage rings they had obtained from the other side.
After 30 minutes, it was Ethan's turn. He brought out two ancient-looking books. When the elder saw this, he was dumbfounded, his hand shaking like a leaf.
Looking at Ethan, he asked, "Are you sure you want to give these?"
Ethan nodded. "I don't have anything else to give, and this is all I have."
"Fine. How about this: first learn it yourself and give it to me later. Is that okay with you?" He asked.
"No problem, Elder," Ethan replied, keeping the books back.
