The Weakest Otherworlder

In a world where everyone was gifted an opportunity to devour everything in front of them, but what if that opportunity was out of reach? And suddenly a being that they called a God came down and gave everyone a spoon so they could reach them and devour them? Everyone devoured all those opportunities and satiated their greed. Power, wealth, you name it. But there was a person who could only watch those people satiating themselves with a spoonful of power and wealth. So, he prayed to that so-called God. "Please! Just give me an opportunity just like the others, God! Even if it's just a tiny bit! I would really appreciate it!" A young man with messy long gray hair asked God with tears in his eyes as he watched the people around him being killed by Otherworlders. [You have been chosen] [God has gifted you the power to devour all opportunities!] [Welcome, Candidate Alseace LaRoze] "You're kidding, right?" Alseace asked in a trembling voice and forced a smile as he stared at the ability God gave him. "What the fuck am I going to do with this?!" He shouted at God who gave him the ability and glared at the cloudy night. While everyone was given a normal spoon, Alseace LaRoze was given a spoon with a giant hole that even a grain of sand would be hard to pick off with it. Alseace chuckled in disbelief and started laughing as the people around him screamed in agony. "You gave me an ability called Leftover?! Don't joke around!" Alseace screamed his lungs out. [God gave you what you wished for, be grateful]

Chapter 40: Tremble.

Sierra and Alseace were walking in the dark tunnel, and they didn't talk to each other because Alseace was still a bit terrified about what had happened. Suddenly, Sierra stopped walking, and she slowly glanced at Carazen's dead body which she dragged behind her.

"Alseace, stand in front of me, and just face forward," Sierra said quietly.

Alseace didn't ask any questions and stood in front of Sierra and faced forward, which Sierra was standing right behind him. He felt cold, freezing cold that was right on his nape that gave him a chill down his spine.

Sierra couldn't pull Carazen's body as if his body was one with the ground. She slowly turned around and stared at the darkness, and there was nothing in front of her.

"That body belongs to me..." A demonic voice could be heard in front of Sierra. "He offered everything, and that includes his body..." the demon continued.

"Show yourself first then we can talk," Sierra replied so casually.

A black portal appeared a few meters in front of Sierra, and something crawled out of the portal. A pair of giant hands with four fingers that were big enough to crush a human body with it. A head appeared a bluish-gray face with a long horn above his ears and then showed his full body with feet like birds and wings on his back.

"Ah... now I see it from up close... you're that infamous ringleader..." The demon said as he landed on the ground. He was five times bigger than Sierra. He was perhaps 5 meters tall and his wings were 10 meters wide. "Now that I see it with my own eyes, that boy behind you, he's quite an interesting human," the demon continued with a huge grin on his face and peeked his head out to look at Alseace.

Alseace fell to his knees and trembled in fear, and tears started to fall down to his chin. He was terrified and petrified that he couldn't do anything but hide behind Sierra's back.

"Take it, and leave," Sierra said as she threw Carazen's body at the demon's feet. "If you dare to get any closer, I'm not going to hesitate to fight you. I'm in a really bad mood right now," Sierra stared the demon in the eye with a cold expression.

The demon chuckled as Carazen's body started to float and was sent into the portal. He then said, "What a wonderful world this is. I can't wait to see the destruction of this world." The demon entered the portal and the portal disappeared.

Alseace immediately fainted as soon as the demon disappeared, and it felt like the heavy pressure had just lifted from his shoulders.

Sierra came out of the abandoned mining cave as she carried Alseace on her back. She saw Estian and the others were still near the cave, and they looked confused and worried when they saw Alseace on her back.

"Wait, how did he get inside? I didn't see him coming into the cave," Estian asked and looked at Alseace who was unconscious.

"Who knows? Perhaps he got something during his raid inside one of the vortexes," Sierra looked at Alseace's face on her left shoulder. "But that's not important. The important thing is that I killed Carazen, and thankfully I stopped him before he became invincible," Sierra said as she fixed Alseace's position on her back.

"He's dead? Where's his body?" Estian asked as he looked at Sierra's back but didn't find anything.

"That's the problem. His body is taken by a powerful demon because his body belongs to the demons now," Sierra answered as she sighed. "Now that a demon has come to this world, the peaceful time is over. You have to warn everyone, and tell them the truth about what's going on here," Sierra continued as she turned around to look at the cave. "Also, this cave. I want you to keep an eye on it because a vortex might appeared there," Sierra pointed out and walked away.

Hearing that, Estian immediately informed Niko about what had happened and deployed a few Agents to seal the cave and put it under the Emissary's supervision. He then escorted Sierra back to the Emissary headquarters, leaving his right-hand men behind to keep an eye on the cave.

Alseace opened his eyes and realized he was in a room with chattering to his right. He looked at Sierra who spoke with Estian, Gratya, Katya, and Niko. They were discussing a plan for the prevention of demons from coming into their world.

"If you're awake, get over here and eat this sandwich," Sierra said as she glanced at Alseace.

Alseace got out of bed and walked to the sofa as everyone looked at him. He sat next to Sierra and started eating his sandwich, but he remembered how terrifying it was. His appetite disappeared and covered his eyes as he tried to forget what he felt and heard.

"Miss Sierra... that demon, who was that? How can something so terrifying exist?" Alseace asked with his eyes closed.

"His rank is an Archduke. If you compare it to Candidate's rank, he should be a Saint," Sierra answered and sipped her tea. "Lesser Demon, Greater Demon, Minor Lord, Demon Lord, Archduke, Primal Demon, and Lastly Demon God. Those are the ranks of demons," Sierra put down the cup and looked at everyone.

They were speechless and terrified knowing how weak they were and how easy it was for demons to conquer Dasmein if they decided to come. But one thing they were more curious about was how could Sierra send the demon away without having to fight him. If the demon was equal to a Saint, then how powerful she was to scare the demon.

"I know what you're thinking, but focus on your own people. You have a heavy burden and you have to focus on that," Sierra said as she stood up and stretched her arms. "My job here is done, and all of you should take care of the rest. Come, Alseace, I promised to teach you magic, didn't I?" Sierra continued and left the room.

Alseace looked at the sandwich in his hand and then followed Sierra as he ate it. He was still too weak to face the cruelty of the world, and he was too weak to meet his older brother and sister.

Sierra used the training ground in the headquarters and started to teach Alseace about the basic things to understand about ice and lightning magic.

"Watch carefully," Sierra said as she opened her right hand and created an icicle from a blob of water. "Did you see it? What I did? I used water as the base and then used the wind to shape and froze the water. Since this is like science, you should be able to imagine it," Sierra explained.

Alseace tried to do the same thing as what Sierra showed him, and it was a bit hard because he couldn't freeze the water. He focused on wind magic and put more Mana into it, but it was still hard and couldn't make it freeze solid.

"That's good enough. Now I'll show you how to create lightning, the hardest element to create," Sierra said as she opened both of her hands. "Do you know how lightning is created?" Sierra asked as a strong wind circled around the training ground.

"No, I don't know," Alseace shook his head.

"Well, to put it simply, when two drastic temperatures collide, it will create a reaction," Sierra explained.

Alseace felt cold on his right face and hot on his left face, and then suddenly Sierra clapped her hands. Sparks started appearing around her and she slowly concentrated the sparks and struck the ground with a thick lightning bolt.

He barely saw it, and by the look of the damage that Sierra had created, he was shocked by how the whole ground was cracked. Before he realized it, the ground crumbled and the foundation of the building got destroyed by the lightning bolt.

"Now, did you know what I did? I created heat from fire magic, but I only took the heat, and then I used the same cold steam from the ice. Clashing both elements, and that was how sparks were created," Sierra explained as she clapped her hands and dispersed the sparks around her body.

Alseace realized he needed to master the ice element first, and so he started to train on his own. Sierra patted him on the back to cheer him up, and then she left to continue her talk with Niko.

(At the Lost Age headquarters)

Mihangel saw the secret document that Gratya sent him, and he was shocked when he heard Carazen was dead. Gratya explained everything to him about what had happened, and he couldn't believe that Carazen would go that far. He saw the dead bodies that Carazen took for the offerings, and what would happen to them in the near future.

"What have you done, Carazen..." Mihangel clenched his fists as he put them on his forehead.

A man with blonde hair and red eyes stood in front of Mihangel's desk and stared at the document on the desk. He read it with Mihangel and knew the content of it. His name was Armel Roderick, the Vice Guildmaster of the Lost Age, an S-Rank Candidate. He was known to be the blade of the Lost Age while Mihangel was the wielder of the sword. Armel was fierce and feared by the guild members because of how strict he was.

"If it's like this, should we start making alliances with other guilds?" Armel asked with his arms crossed. "The ones that we can rely on are Silver Talon, Spectre, and Notorious because they're our friends," Armel pointed out as he rubbed his chin.

Mihangel sighed as he leaned on his chair and stared at the ceiling in thought. He then said, "Let's do that, and I'll go and meet with Violette. We need to work together and try to clear all the vortexes that start to appear more often."

Armel nodded his head with understanding and left Mihangel's office to meet with Katya, Hunter, and Ackerly. He was thinking of paying a visit to the Vendetta guild and thought about punishing them for letting their Guildmaster go wild.

"I guess I should give them a punishment later..." Armel said with a cold gaze, staring at his own reflection inside the elevator.

Mihangel looked at the city through the glass wall, and he was so pissed that the glass cracked from the cold ice. "Sierra Red, I wonder if you really gave us a warning or you just wanted to see this world burn with those warnings and stir problem," Mihangel said.
