The Weakest Otherworlder

In a world where everyone was gifted an opportunity to devour everything in front of them, but what if that opportunity was out of reach? And suddenly a being that they called a God came down and gave everyone a spoon so they could reach them and devour them? Everyone devoured all those opportunities and satiated their greed. Power, wealth, you name it. But there was a person who could only watch those people satiating themselves with a spoonful of power and wealth. So, he prayed to that so-called God. "Please! Just give me an opportunity just like the others, God! Even if it's just a tiny bit! I would really appreciate it!" A young man with messy long gray hair asked God with tears in his eyes as he watched the people around him being killed by Otherworlders. [You have been chosen] [God has gifted you the power to devour all opportunities!] [Welcome, Candidate Alseace LaRoze] "You're kidding, right?" Alseace asked in a trembling voice and forced a smile as he stared at the ability God gave him. "What the fuck am I going to do with this?!" He shouted at God who gave him the ability and glared at the cloudy night. While everyone was given a normal spoon, Alseace LaRoze was given a spoon with a giant hole that even a grain of sand would be hard to pick off with it. Alseace chuckled in disbelief and started laughing as the people around him screamed in agony. "You gave me an ability called Leftover?! Don't joke around!" Alseace screamed his lungs out. [God gave you what you wished for, be grateful]

Chapter 34: First Mission. (3)

As soon as they left the portal, a strong wind struck their faces and dust hit their eyes. They were struggling to open their eyes, but once the wind stopped blowing toward them, they looked at the beautiful scenery of the mountains. The rocky mountains covered the whole area, and they were on top of one of the mountains.

They looked at the quest panel in front of them and already knew what they had to do by looking at the title of the quest.

"We have only 3 days because we only discover it now, and looking at how big this place is, we need to start moving and find this dragon and the dragon raider," Renata said as she looked around. "The best option we have is to find where the wyverns and the dragons are so we can tell where their nests are," Renata looked at Alseace next to her.

They heard roars and screeches in the distance, and they looked to their left and saw wyverns flying around the peak of the mountain. They immediately started to climb down the mountain and went in the direction where the wyverns were at.

On their way to the mountain where the nests were, they weren't welcomed by the monsters in the forest, at the base of the mountains, and on the land. Serpents, Golems, and giants existed there. They were fighting them all as they tried to go to the wyverns' nests.

"We aren't going to make it if we keep doing this! We have to avoid them if!" Chris said as he stabbed his spear at the serpent that was as big as him on the head.

"Easy to say, but we won't be able to survive here if we ignore all of them. These monsters can find us, and even if we hurriedly go to the mountain, the wyverns will hunt us down," Renata answered as she stabbed the giant in the neck and stood on the giant's shoulder. The giant fell and Renata landed right next to it, "Alseace! We are running out of time. Can you do it alone?"

"I can," Alseace answered as he punched the golem and it crumbled in an instant.

"Alright, go! We will try to survive here. You don't have to worry about us," Renata said as she regrouped with the others.

Alseace nodded as he sheathed his sword and started running into the forest since it was the shortest route to reach the mountain.

"Renata, are you seriously going to let him go there on his own?" Amelie asked as she pointed her staff to Eduard and Leonardo to give them buffs with her supporting magic.

"He'll be fine," Renata watched as Alseace disappeared into the forest. "In fact, we are only dragging him down honestly," Renata pointed out as she readied her stance because the giants started coming toward them. "Don't worry about him, worry about yourself and just focus on those monsters," Renata said.

Alseace jumped from tree to tree and felt dozens of monsters lurking inside the forest. They were attracted to his presence, but they weren't fast enough to catch up to him. He also ignored them since he only had one goal in mind and didn't want to get distracted by other things.

As soon as he reached the base of the mountain where the nests were, he was immediately welcomed by Salamanders and young wyverns that were hunting the monsters in the forest. They were all attracted to him and they immediately ran and flew toward him.

"It's a shame that I have to kill you guys with my own hands... but I have no time for this..." Alseace said as he drew his sword.

The Salamander breathed fire at Alseace, but the moment the fire disappeared, he wasn't affected by it. He looked at his unscathed attire, and he was amazed that Sierra wasn't joking about it.

"Thanks for the gift, Miss Sierra," Alseace said as he readied his stance as the Salamander pounced at him. "Knowing this, I don't have to worry about my attire," Alseace swung his sword and decapitated the Salamander before it could put its sharp claws at him.

The wyvern tried to bite his right hand off, but Alseace punched its face before it could close its mouth. Alseace then ran toward the base of the mountain as he dealt with the young wyverns and Salamanders. The young wyverns screeched as they were looking at the sky.

Alseace looked up as the sky was covered by wyverns. They slowly seemed bigger and bigger until they finally descended to the base of the mountain. "Now this is much more fun," Alseace said with a smile and tightened his grip.

Alseace climbed the mountain as he dodged the wyverns' attacks from their wings, tails, and claws of their feet. He decided to use his staff to deal with them since it would be in that situation.

Alseace used the terrain and cast Earth Spike magic to immobilize the wyverns by targeting their wings. Once he trapped a wyvern with it, he cast Water Bullet magic and shot it right in the head. He did the same thing or used his sword to stab its heart or slice its head.

"How many are they?" Alseace looked at the peak of the mountain and saw Wyverns coming out of it. "I guess I should go and find the mouth of the mountain and deal with them all inside," Alseace said as he cut the tail of a wyvern that tried to hit him.

He hurriedly went up the mountain by jumping from cliff to cliff until he reached the peak of the mountain. He then saw the mouth of the mountain and decided to get inside as the Wyverns followed him from behind.

The moment he reached the center of the mountain, he realized that they were wrong about it. There were only wyverns inside and not a single dragon could be seen. There were so many types of wyverns and they all looked stronger than the ones he fought outside. The wyverns were colorful and each of them possessed a different ability from the others.

The inside of the mountain was covered in ice, lava, and fire. Not to mention the fierce wind that was enough to cut his skin. He then used his Body Aura to protect himself from the wind, but suddenly a black wyvern appeared from beneath the cliff. Dozens of wyverns followed it from behind, and they all started to attack Alseace with different elements.

[Extra Quest]

----------------------------------------------------

[Difficulty: Hard]

----------------------------------------------------

[Objective: Defeat the Elder Wyvern and prevent it from becoming a calamity in the future]

----------------------------------------------------

[Reward: Elder Wyvern's Blood]

----------------------------------------------------

"Are you the boss here? But you're not the dragon I'm looking for," Alseace said as he dodged the fire breath, cold breath, and the fierce wind cutter. "Fine, I'll deal with all of you," Alseace said as he held the staff in his left hand and a sword in his right hand.

"Wind Cutter! Fireball! Water Bullet! Earth Spike!" Alseace cast the same spells over and over since those were the only spells that he could do since his element's magic was still an F-Rank.

All the wyverns were scared of Alseace because of how powerful his magic spells were. He was also physically strong that a single swing of his sword was enough to kill them. The black wyvern was the one who commanded the rest of the wyvern and he had been staring at him ever since it showed itself.

"He's trying to learn my movements?" Alseace asked as he pulled his sword from the wyvern's chest. "You're an intelligent monster, so I should deal with you now," Alseace said as he ran toward the black wyvern.

As soon as the black wyvern realized that Alseace was running toward him, he flapped his wings and spun himself. He disappeared in a blink of an eye and it surprised Alseace because he was sure he just saw the wyvern a moment ago. He then stopped and looked around him. He used his senses and felt the presence of the black wyvern inside the ground, or to be exact, inside a shadow.

"That's really an interesting ability," Alseace said as he pointed his staff at the shadow where he felt the black wyvern.

Alseace cast Fireball and blew up the ground where the shadow was. The black wyvern immediately came out and flew up high, but then it disappeared again.

"What an annoying ability..." Alseace said as he looked around and dealt with the wyverns that were trying to kill him.

It took him a dozen Fireballs, Earth Spikes, and Water Bullets until the black wyvern couldn't use his ability anymore and he was heavily injured because of Alseace's magic. Alseace had dealt with most of the wyverns and there were only the young wyverns left, but none of them had the will to fight anymore.

"It's just you and me left," Alseace said as he approached the wounded black wyvern. "It's over," Alseace swung his sword and stabbed the wyvern in the chest where the heart was.
