The villainess is the main antagonist of the story. She must be brutal, aggressive, and not give in to good. The villainess must be a woman that others admire but also despite. As for the House of Belladonna. To act evil is an act of kindness. Adriana Belladonna is the daughter who belonged to a powerful family that ruled the lands of Arabella. Also known for their studies of the dark arts. In short black magic. Given the title as ‘poison beauty’. Adriana was accused of many things such as the kidnapping of Astell Skydane, the heir of the Skydane House. In the year 4002 of Arabella, Adriana Belladonna, was executed when she had not committed any crimes. But when she woke up once more she was back to her eighteen years old self. Five years after her execution. "Open the curtains, and what year is it?" ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== Illustrated by: laylee_hiu Editor: @nyctophile1970 (X) Instagram: author_ann0
Since the day Issac arrived back in the mansion Adriana had been avoiding the paths he usually takes. But no matter how hard she tries to avoid him. Issac somehow finds his way to find her. This gave Adriana a headache as her nights had been sleepless.
Adriana stepped into the dining room, wishing no one was there. But to her luck, their paths crossed the same position.
Issac had his eyes shut with his arms crossed. His head bobbed from time to time, trying to keep himself in a straight position. His eyes fluttered hearing a sound from her heels.
It was strange since Issac wouldn't usually have breakfast. He would be there seated but will not take a single bite from his plate. If he wasn't going to eat he shouldn't have come is what Adriana thought.
Adriana did not hesitant and turned her back. This was her only choice if she wanted to escape him.
However, a sudden gush of wind blew in her direction. An arm stretched right in front of her eyes.
"Are you going to continue doing this?" Issac whispered into her ears and glanced at the passing servants.
"Doing what?" asked Adriana keeping her eyes straight.
"Ignoring and avoiding me," answered Issac who gripped her wrist tighter.
"And when will you stop following me?" asked Adriana.
Issac pursed his lips and let go of her wrist. He looked at her wrist which had bruised from his grip. Issac wondered how hard does he need to hold her for it to break.
"Until you become mine," Issac leaned onto her back while Adriana took a step forward.
"I will never be yours. Like I've told you. I'm interested in someone."
Issac looked calm but he was actually trembling inside. Until now he couldn't identify who she was interested in. Adriana does not show it which made it hard for him.
"Fine. Do whatever you want," concluded Issac though he was still not giving up.
Adriana left Issac hanging in the hallway and made her way back to her room. She asked Joana for her meals to be sent to her room. While in the afternoon she would be attending Raven's graduation.
Though the academy was not that far from the mansion. The students are not allowed to visit their families except during the holidays. It was for them to focus on their studies.
The Arabella Academy is the best academy in the world. There are three courses for students to choose from. The first is the swordsmanship department. This is the course Raven enrolled in. The second is the magic department and the last is the administration department.
All three are crucial courses administered in the current world. Though it is required for children of noble to attend which Adriana and Issac did not attend.
As they were both far superior to those who were their age. But at the same time is their choice whether they want to attend or not.
The only reason why Issac did not attend was that Adriana did not go. He hung around Adriana as if she was his only option.
"Joana, prepare a semi-formal-looking dress. Also, prepare the presents that arrived the other day " ordered Adriana.
As soon Adriana was dressed up she made her way to Arabella Academy. The ride to the academy took at most thirty minutes which wasn't too bad. But since it has been a while Adriana had ridden a carriage. She did not have the most pleasant journey.
The only time Adriana could breathe was when she arrived at the academy. Her eyes admired the extravagant school building.
At this point, she regrets not entering the academy. If she did she might have made a few friends. But then Issac will be there. He definitely would be there to stop her from making friends.
Adriana made her way to the main room where she saw other families congratulating their sons and daughters.
Adriana searched the whole room for Raven but he was nowhere to be seen. This made Adriana start to feel wary not until she heard a familiar voice.
Adriana listened and trailed the voice which sounded a lot more mature as his voice was deeper now. She tapped the guy on the shoulder and when he saw her. A smile lifted across his face and hugged her.
"Sister! You came I'm glad. I thought you couldn't make it," exclaimed Raven who did not want to let go of her hand.
"Seeing you smile makes me think I've made the right decision," Adriana ruffled his hair for the first time after two years.
Issac took a step back and scanned Adriana from top to bottom twice. His eyes squinted and he asked.
"Sister have you not been eating? You seem to look thinner than before," Issac frowned after. "I shouldn't have left you. I've made a wrong decision."
"Don't say that. I'm glad you listened and decided to study in the academy. And it seemed like you made great friends," Adriana looked at the two other guys who stood behind Issac.
They both bowed their heads with genuine smiles. One was a head shorter than Issac and one a few inches taller than Raven. They both seem to have this certain aura that interested her. To add they were twins.
"I almost forgot to introduce you to them. The taller guy is Lincoln Chessier and the short guy is Levious Chessier. As you can see they are twins," introduced Raven who placed his arms around their shoulders.
"Chessier? I've never heard of that name," questioned Adriana.
"Lady Adriana, to answer your question. We don't come from a noble background. We're commoners," answered Lincoln.
"Oh, I did not mean to be rude, I apologize," Adriana lowered herself which made Lincoln panic. It was unlike a noble to lower their heads to a commoner.
But Adriana had a reason why. She did not want to look bad in front of Raven's friends. Since she felt Raven took a while to make those friends. It would be a waste if those efforts were thrown just like that.
"Please lift your head up," faltered Lincoln. "I don't feel it is right."
"Thank you for taking care of Raven. I hope you three will continue to support each other in the future," persuaded Adriana while Raven sheepishly smiled feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Sister, I'm not even a kid anymore. Please treat me like an adult," pleaded Raven who lowered his head asking Adriana to pet him.
While Lincoln and Levious stared at Raven with disgusted expressions. Though it was not their first time seeing Raven act like this. They were still not used to it.
The only time Raven acted like a puppy. Was when a letter from his sister arrived. He would smile ear to ear and sometimes they wondered if he was going crazy.
The Raven they knew was as cold as ice and did not like others touching him. But they both were relieved that there was someone that could break that side of his.
"That reminds me I've bought you a present," Adriana calls the servant to give Raven his gift.
The servant opened the case and revealed a beautiful fine sword. In the middle was a ruby which reminded Raven of the color of Adriana's eyes.
"It's beautiful. Thank you! I'll be using this often," thanked Raven who hugged Adriana once more.
"As for the two of you. I don't know what you like. So I got something that you both can use in the future," Adriana handed them a rectangular black leather case.
The twins gasped in awe to see an expensive-looking fountain pen. There were even diamonds used as decoration.
"If you both don't like it. You can sell it instead. You'll earn lots from it," said Adriana.
"No, I don't think we'll sell it. It's something we'll keep forever," denied Levious who bowed his head and followed Lincoln. "Thank you for giving us such great gifts."
"I should be thanking you both for being friends with Raven. From the letters, he seemed to enjoy the academy."
"Now I think about it. I don't even think we deserve this gift," said Levious. "If it weren't for Raven we might not have stayed."
"I agree," Lincoln nodded his head.
"Then I'll be asking you both a favor," Adriana smiled which made the twin's heart flutter. "Please take care of him until the end."
"It's not like I'm being married off," Raven asked in an annoyed tone. "Sister, you're still treating me like a child."
"Oh Raven, in my eyes you'll forever be my little brother," giggled Adriana.
While the four of them continued with their conversation. Did not they know they were also gathering attention? Especially towards the noble families. They were shocked to see Adriana attend the graduation.
"Hey, isn't that Lady Adriana from the Belladonna family? What is she doing here?" murmured a noble.
"Don't you know? Raven Belladonna has graduated today. But don't underestimate him. He graduated being in the top one overall."
"Top one? How I thought a Belladonna would never be serious?"
"Well, he is a genius. And you see the twins? They graduated in the top two and three. To add they are commoners."
"Commoners? What is this nonsense?"
"I agree."
