Wrath of the Heavenly Dao
Several seconds after he left, Ling Tian began to release his spiritual sense into his surroundings.
Many demonic beasts could be found, but their cultivation was barely beyond the Fourth Stage of Chi Gathering. Usually the demon beasts were in groups. There seemed to be hundreds of hordes of demon beasts. One could rarely see demon beasts in Stage Seven of Chi Gathering.
'It seems that this continent has a lot of low-level demon beasts.'
'No wonder the City Lord, Long Cheng, was surprised to see me easily kill that beast in the Foundation Establishment stage. Most of the demon beasts are found under the Late Stage of Chi Gathering.'
Ling Tian discovered a demon beast in the Eighth Stage of Chi Gathering. It looked like it was about to ascend to the next stage. Ling Tian sent his immortal sword, killing it with one cut.
Flying swiftly over his sword, Ling Tian went through a large part of the place.
Indeed, he found no other human settlement or city nearby. It seemed that Long Cheng was telling the truth, there were no human settlements beyond the mountains, apparently not as far as Ling Tian had traveled.

Ling Tian felt a little heavier with time.

The lightning struck hard and exploded in Ling Tian's body.

He felt that the resistance of his body became much weaker, as if he had not cultivated any techniques of body refinement.
Suddenly, Ling Tian felt that the laws were directed at his heart!
He released his spiritual sense. Ling Tian paled when he knew that the Heavenly Dao was also sealing his heart, so that the World Tree could not heal him when he was hurt, thus preventing vitality from leaving his heart.

The dust rose around him, while sparks of electricity buzzed around him. The once swirling clouds of heaven dispersed, leaving a bright and clear sky, as if no such terrifying phenomenon had ever existed.
A crater was formed by the lightning explosion. In the middle of that, one could find a horribly wounded body that still had its head up in the direction of the sky. His body was full of horrendous wounds that you could even see the white part of the bones. His organs even were burned by the unbelievable force of the lightning.
In his eyes, however, one could see a strong determination, one could even find a hint of contempt.
He with his will power did not let himself be broken by the fury of the Heavenly Dao. He truly survived that deadly attack, though he must confess that he came close to falling. The Heavenly Might is not a simple thing. This is the Heavenly Law: The Heavenly Dao!
Ling Tian felt his strength failing, so he could not help but close his eyes heavily. His consciousness slowly plunged into darkness, becoming completely unconscious.
Ling Tian's body almost a step from death fell and lay on the ground.
Vaguely, one could feel a very light and weak vitality coming out of his chest and slowly spreading throughout his body, healing the horrific wounds.
