Unusual Intuition (1)

"There are many powerful people."

Li Fengyuan was surprised to see so many cultivators gathered together, feeling that they far surpassed her own realm. She tried to sense their might but she didn't spy through her spirit sense; she knew that unless the opponent was weaker than one, one wouldn't use spirit sense in front of more powerful people due to it being like an insult to them.

It was not uncommon for cultivators to be killed when using their spirit senses on others.

After traveling for almost 5 days, Ling Tian and the others had arrived at the outskirts of what appeared to be some strange and mysterious ruins. Destroyed buildings turned to dust added a somewhat strange and even terrifying touch to the place.

Hundreds of cultivators were at the site. There were many groups of them, with many of them wearing distinctive robes, with different emblems from other groups, showing that they belonged to different factions and places. Youngsters as young as 15 years old to old men looking over 80 years old could be seen at first glance.

Ships, flying spaceships, cultivators on their flying swords, there were many groups both on the ground and in the sky. Some groups even marked their territories, clearly waiting for the people they sent inside the place.

The cultivators on the spot watched Ling Tian's group with curiosity and interest at the sight of them. Feng Zhiyun's silver hair as well as her beauty together with Li Fengyuan and Xuanyuan Ling undoubtedly attracted the fervent and lustful gazes of young adults, drooling fiercely. Likewise, many women looked with interest and even lust at Ling Tian, noticing his indifferent and calm demeanor that attracted them much more. The short hair undoubtedly generated some questions, obviously standing out from the others.

Feng Zhiyun scowled in disgust, and she moved closer to Ling Tian, showing a proud expression, as if to prove that he was her partner. Xuanyuan Ling and Li Fengyuan also moved closer to Ling Tian when they noticed Feng Zhiyun doing so; their displeased and annoyed eyes from the lustful gazes soon raised their guard when they saw Feng Zhiyun's movement.

"It's normal to meet people like this." Ling Tian nodded calmly at Li Fengyuan's comment, unfazed by the three women's behavior and also seeing many cultivators surpassing the Body Condensation realm, with very few old men barely reaching Half Step to Great Ascension.

"It is not at all strange for an event of such magnitude to attract powerful cultivators. World powerhouses can even be found here." Feng Junze added to Ling Tian's comment, explaining to Li Fengyuan that it was normal for this kind of situation.

After all, it was the first time Li Fengyuan was in such kind of situation, being in the presence of powerful people.

Powerful people?

Suddenly, Li Fengyuan was dumbfounded and smiled wryly and mockingly at herself.

Looking at her side, Ling Tian's figure was increasingly engraved in her heart. Li Fengyuan shook her head; if these people were powerful, so... what was Ling Tian?

Ling Tian is practically a God!

The last event with Feng Zhiyun certainly made Li Fengyuan aware that Ling Tian seemed to be standing above the heavens, being a being beyond extraordinary that cannot be measured by common sense let alone by the heavens themselves. Ling Tian was unique and these guys were nothing before him.

"Let's go. Inside the ruins passage we will find the access to that world." Feng Ye led the group straight towards the center.

Most of the cultivators who were interested in the women in the group were stopped by their elders when the latter realized that some of them were Great Ascension realm cultivators!

The people made a space for Ling Tian and the others to pass through without any problem.

They quickly reached the passageway, passing through some entrances where there were strange symbols and signs, conveying a feeling of antiquity, as if it was something sacred as well. No one knew about those symbols and even less about the mystery of the place.

Ling Tian looked at the symbols and frowned. Somehow he felt that he had seen them in the past; they brought him an unknown but familiar feeling at the same time, as if he was used to them somehow.

"It's kind of nostalgic... Xiaoyi, Feifei..."

Ling Tian soon whispered in his heart with a slight sad and melancholic smile. This passage, these ruins somehow also reminded him of his two female teammates from the past: Ning Xiaoyi and Xi Fei!

This kind of sight was the last thing he saw before he lost them and could never see them again... accepting their death as he remembered the kind of inevitable situation they were in.

"I can feel some strong presences." Shin Wei raised his eyebrows in slight surprise as he sensed powerful energies coming from inside the place.

"Me too." Feng Junze nodded with a frown. His cultivation base was at the Early Stage of the Great Ascension realm, no doubt the others had a superior cultivation base to him.

Ling Tian took a somewhat deep breath and returned to his usual calm and indifference quickly. The powerful energies at the end of the passage were getting stronger and stronger, but Ling Tian didn't even take them into account.

"We've arrived."

Feng Ye's serious voice was heard as they finally stepped out of the passageway, entering a spacious place with abundant spiritual Chi!

Li Fengyuan and the others looked around and were surprised to see that there were few people!

But even though they were not even a quarter of the large number outside, these people were clearly very powerful!

Cultivators at the Great Ascension realm could be seen in every place!

There were young people in appearance of more than 20 years old, with cultivation bases above Nascent Soul level and even up to the Peak Stage of the Body Condensation realm. Elders of great old age with cultivation bases between the Separation And Reunion and Great Ascension realms could also be seen.

But what was striking was that there were some young-looking adults with cultivation bases in the Great Ascension realm!

They were all separated into groups, ranging from pairs to groups of more than 10 members.

There was a clear division towards the back as well, as if no one dared to walk further in and they were waiting patiently nearby, as if something would happen in the next few minutes.

"I feel a great pressure coming from some of them..."

Shin Wei was somewhat surprised to find people who can probably rival him despite being in the same realm, getting that feeling that had long ago diminished and almost disappeared due to his strength increasing. His cultivation base was at the Peak Stage of the Great Ascension realm, so it could be said that he had the right to feel the call of immortal ascension and ascend to the next plane!

Li Fengyuan and Feng Zhiyun stood silently, solemnly gazing at the place. Both women could feel great oppression just by breathing; their cultivation bases were at the Body Condensation realm, so they were undoubtedly still weak in front of great powerhouses.

Xuanyuan Ling released some of her energy and covered both women as she noticed their slightly pressured states.

Li Fengyuan and Feng Zhiyun nodded gratefully to Xuanyuan Ling as they noticed her gesture, for the first time tacitly smiling as if they were at peace.

"There are some sect leaders and sect masters from the territory as well." Feng Junze furrowed his eyebrows as he recognized some faces.

"I've also encountered some familiar faces that I thought I would never see again..."

Feng Ye's expression was serious and imposing, looking at several individuals who had also noticed him.

Just as Shin Wei and the others looked at everyone, those on the spot also looked at them with interest, realizing their cultivation levels quickly and with most of them being surprised. Some of them whispered among themselves while casting glances towards Shin Wei and the others, as if agreeing on something while others shook their heads at their companions to avoid them and not get into trouble.

But at this moment, none of them noticed that Ling Tian's breathing slowed slightly and it seemed that only his quietly beating heart was working. From the moment he entered, his gaze unconsciously shifted to a specific site, finding three figures standing apart from the rest but exuding a powerful force, finally stopping and focusing on them completely.

Ling Tian's unusual intuition compelled him to look at these figures and ignore the rest, feeling strange that his intuition gave him such a feeling. And it was not because they were powerful cultivators, but because there was something about them that attracted Ling Tian's full attention, enough to stand immobile and somewhat stupefied.

Ling Tian looked at these individuals and forgot what he was doing or thinking. He felt that he had seen them somewhere and even knew them!
