Chapter 9: The New King

Jayme woke up with the sunlight hitting his face and irritating him. But he needs to so, he forced himself to wake up and go to the bathroom to take a bath. Then when he got out of the bathroom with a towel wrapping around his lower body.

He heard a knock from the door and he immediately opened it. And there he found a floating letter, "Delivery for Mr. Wickbel!" said the invisible man. "It's me! But what is the purpose you are invincible mister mailman?" asked Jayme.

"I travel with the wind sir, that's why I am invincible cause my body is left in the post office and my celestial body is seperated from my real body, as you can see here, wait you can't see me. Okay, then my celestial body or you can call it soul, travel through air and I will deliver the messages." said the mailman.

"O-okay," said Jayme. And Jayme went inside the room, and he changed his clothes, then read the letter, it was from Marina.

Dear Jayme,

If you are reading this letter, thank Mother Earth, your safe. But I want to tell you that I have found your parents but I decided to retreat cause it is too dangerous, to help them at this moment, I am here in Protus where you Aunt Claudia is, I will meet you here and be safe.

P. S. This letter will burn after you read this.

And just a that after he read the letter it went to flames and turned into ashes.

Jayme packed up all his things, cause he is going to continue his journey after he attended the coronation of Chester and the burial of the king.

He put his bag aside and take the wand with him, he put the wand in his pocket and he leave the room.

While Jayme was walking to the towns park, where a stake stands, a stake where numerous witches are being burned alive, for cursing innocent people.

When he got there he found, the corpse of the king lying in a bed of branches and dried leaves. There he saw Chestee waving at him, he was standing beside the priest. Jayme punched his way through the crowd that is in the park to witness the kings corpse being burned.

"Thank you for coming, " Chester said. "It's no problem, you are my friend, and friends help each other."

Chester is still, bothered from the moment they kissed each other. "Jayme," Chester said. "Yep?"

"I wanted to asked about-" he was cut off by the horn of the trumpets, and the priest climb up the stake where the corpse of the king is.

"What is it that your trying to ask? " Jayme asked. "Oh it's nothing, " Chester replied.

" Today we are all here for the burning of the corpse of King Ambrose, he is man of wisdom, faith, and knowledge. His greatness shall be remembered," the priest gets a unlighted torch from the hands of his server.

Then he called unto Chester, and Chester went up to the altar or stake, the priest lighted up the torch and hands it to Chester which he accepted. He was about to light the dead body of his father, but he burst into tears, accompanied with Chester crying is the whole town crying also.

After that he throw the torch unto the stake and it lighted on fire, " The coronation for the new king will start at sunset." And all the people left the park.

Jayme went back to the hotel, and there he lied to his bed, he is still bothered by the kiss that he and Chester shared. Because of tiredness Jayme's eyes slowly closes and he drifted unto sleep.

He woke up again with the sound of trumpets, being played in the whole town. It is a signal to the people that the coronation is about to start.

He stands up from his bed and just as then someone knocked on his door. He went to the door to see who is the person and there stand Chester's butler. "Good afternoon Mr. Wickbel, the prince has ordered me to help you dress up!"

Jayme don't want anyone to dress cause he likes to dress himself, "Umm.. Thanks! But I can dress myself."

"Oh, nonononononono. Let me, cause it is my duty to help you and I don't want the prince to be dissapointed at me, " he said.

"Okay, if you insist," he couldn't argue more so he let him dress him.

Then the butler entered the room, and he showed Jayme the clothes that Chester wanted him to wear. It is a nice red tunic, with golden laces, just like what Chester wears when he met him at the party and leggings.

Jayme went to the bathroom and change and went out of the bathroom, "You look elegant and handsome, Mr. Wickbel, okay. Now we are going to the palace. "

When they got there, they were greet by the guards and the palace is full or decorations, from flowers to candelabras floating in the air.

And the butler ushered Jayme to sit beside Chester as his, close friend.

Then the sound of trumpets started to spread through the whole palace and the priest, emereged from the back door and he stood beside him, after that Chester showed up with his red tunic and black leggings and he sat beside Jayme.

"Are you excited to be crowned as the new king? " Jayme asked. "Actually, I am quite nervous," Chester replied. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'd do great. "

"The days got dark when our beloved king died, from the assault, but the greatness of his demeanour is still striving in our hearts---,"

"Abuelito, " he said almost whispering. "Where is my mom? I haven't seen here since the assault and the memorial, I am searching for her but I can't find her."

"Your highness, she left to go to China where she is going to have a meeting with the Chinese emperor, " Abuelito said.

"Ohh, did she know that dad died?" "Yes your highness, she is the one that organize the memorial, she sends us a scroll that said, that she can't go back yet the emeperor, has been gone to hunt some food, and when the emeperor has returned their meeting will be started, she also said that you will be crowned king, immediately but she be here, " Abuelito said.

"Oh," Chester said.

"Your highness please stand, " said the priest, "By the power vested upon me, I crowned you as the king of this town, may Mother Earth bless you."

After the coronation there is a party that is in the ballroom.

Jayme went to Chester, "Umm.. Chester? "

"Yes, what is it Jayme? " asked Chester. " I will continue my journey on going to Protus," Jayme said.

"What!? " Chester exclaimed.
