Before the Storm

The next day, Ethan woke up when the sun was already high. He was up earlier than Helena and prepared to cook for her. 

The man with a well-built body put on clean, fresh black pants that hung low around his waist. He wasn't worried about anyone seeing him that way. There wouldn't be any women in the mist valley but Helena and Diana … and he considered Diana more like a beloved aunt. He was just a kid in her eyes.

Ethan knew that Diana had feelings for Lord Gabriel. She was willing to be nothing more than a bed slave to the man she loved. Ethan felt sorry for her, but he didn't want to meddle in other people's lives.

The bread dough was ready. Ethan then flattened it and baked the dough on a pan one by one. He also prepared a meat and vegetable stew as a side dish.
