The end of spirit egg formation

Everyone in the room was stunned by that fast development. The moment they heard the 5% mana consumption, all of them stared into the mana chamber.

The start of evolution signifies that the first part of the process ended. Now, the spirit egg must have formed inside the soul space. The soul space would start changing and the formation of mana veins would start.

Drake once again started wiggling on the floor. The melting of his facial skin and muscle expanded throughout his body.

Like wax on a burning candle, his muscles and skin continued to melt to the point his skeleton became visible, but soon it stopped, and then his body started regenerating.

In a few seconds, he was back to normal. The red strip marks and darker black glow got a little faded, while the greyish black glow became a tone darker and more intense.

If they did not see the change, it would be hard to believe. It was not the end though, as the body once started cracking and melting that ended with another session of reformation. This process of deformation and regeneration of the body continued.

After each cycle, both element poisonings became fader while the original glow continued to become darker.

The staff said, "Consumption is at 20%." It little higher but none found it strange, as they could see all this mana was getting used in reforming Drake's body.

In Drake's case, the clash of 3 mana going inside his body prevented the mana veins formation. This clash of mana continued to create heat that soon got to the point that the body started melting.

As the body melted, the red element poison that was present near the skin also left the body. This broke the equilibrium and gave the chance for evolution to start.

But this also resulted in dark black mana rushing out of the body, thereby increasing the rate at which his body was collapsing. If not for Sir Minza using that precious regeneration potion, Drake would have died.

The potent potion was the only thing that was protecting his vital organs.

This process continued around 7-8 times and at last both mana poisons left out of Drake's body. His body regained back to what it used to be, but his element glow completely changed.

It changed from greyish black to pure black like those kids that only had dark basic mana affinity. Everyone in the room stared at the unconscious Drake with amazement.

None of them expected to see something like this. Many of them had their jaw dropped and breathing fast. Even Sir Minza had his eyes expanded to the max as he continued to stare at the Drake.

Staff voice came, "Consumption went back to 0%."

This woke everyone from their dazing state. All the instructors stared at each other full of questions.

One of them asked in everyone's stead, "What used to be this kid's mana affinities?"

The instructor standing at the back of the room said in a low voice, "He has dark at gold, water at iron, and earth at copper."

"mm, now only darkness left."

"This sure increases the spirit potential to the gold but…"

"Nah, it's not worth the cost."

All the instructors sighed in disappointment. Even if none said, everyone in the room came to the same conclusion that it was all over for Drake.

Some of them even internally criticized him inside their mind for wasting such a precious potion. They saw the ugly look on Sir Minza's face. Not wanting to face any trouble, all the instructors quietly walked out of the room, leaving Sir Minza and the two staff alone there.

Sir Minza just stared at Drake laying unconscious in a pool of blood. He rubbed his forehead and eyes as he continued to stare at Drake. Unlike other instructors, he was not disappointed, but confused. He could feel something differed from the expected result, but he just could not pinpoint what exactly it was.

The staff on the side gathered his courage and asked at this moment, "Sir, should I stop the mana chamber?"

Sir Minza nodded to the staff but then paused and said, "Wait, don't just stop the mana chamber, but slowly start decreasing the power."

Staff found it weird but did not dare to ask and started decreasing the power consumption.

99% 95% 90%….80% 76%

The moment power decreased to 75% staff shouted in shock, "Sir mana consumption…"

Sir Minza stared at him. "What?"

Staff showed the device to Sir Minza, "It's increasing." The screen on the device showed the consumption rising 1..3.. 5%…

Sir Minza just stared at the device as mana consumption stopped after reaching the 10% mark. It stayed at that mark for some time and then started decreasing back to the 0%.

Both staff went pale seeing this. Still, they did not dare to make a single noise.

The staff continued to decrease the power consumption, but nothing more happened and finally, the mana chamber stopped.

"huh," a little sound came from Sir Minza's mouth and next both staff went to their knees.

Thud! Thud!

Both of them slammed their head so hard on the floor that they started bleeding. Not caring about their pain, they shouted in the union, "Sir, we are ready to make the oath to never reveal this to anyone."

Sir Minza did not care about them and snapped his fingers. The next moment staff eyes become dull for a moment and then it reverted to normal.

Staff asked in a dull state, "Sir, should I stop the mana chamber?"

Sir Minza nodded his head. Staff blankly tapped on the device and soon regained the clarity and said, "Sir mana chamber stopped injecting mana."

Sir Minza smiled and said, "Let me talk to that child for a moment, then you guys can proceed with the cleaning."

Both of the staff bowed to Sir Minza. Sir Minza walked at the back of the room and with a flash he appeared inside the mana chamber standing on top of a magic circle.
