Kate could sense the coldness that permeated from Kyle's body. She never had high EQ and probably could be considered pretty low considering that she didn't like to interact with her friends that much.
But at this moment, she could clearly perceive the coldness from Kyle's body.
She's afraid of him.
Yet at the same time, Kate was dependent on Kyle. She knew that this kind of relationship was strange as a human being, but as his 'pet,' she really had no other choice.
Slowly, Kate raised her paw and put it on top of Kyle's fist.
She could sense that his body temperature is low.
So low that it could rival ice.
Kate herself didn't know what she was thinking at this moment, but she just didn't want to leave Kyle alone. She wanted to stay with him even though she knew that there was possibility that he will kill her when he knew that she was not actually his little cat.
