Chapter 31: Goblin Slayers(2)

After their first encounter with the Goblins, instead of going back to the Guild, the two decided to move forward.

Nogla, who was behind Terroriser drinking a can of Mountain Dew while Terroriser, his Irish friend, decided to check their surroundings.

With a simple thought of activation in his head, Brian automatically a 3D dimensional map appears in his view, this map looks like the one you often see in-game, Terroriser continued to check the map and he saw that twenty-five meters East from where the two stood, were thirty red dots, there was a label over their heads indicating that they were Goblins.

When Terroriser wanted to know more about the ten goblins, the map became a little clearer and he was able to see that indeed there were thirty goblins, however, they were divided into two squads of fifteen goblins each, separated by a few meters.

"Nogla, incoming Goblins." Terroriser announced Nogla.

"Mhm." He simply nodded.

Terroriser swipes off the screen from his view and continues moving, followed by his friend Nogla, and when they were not too far from the first squad constituted of Five goblins, Brian crouched down and he started moving silently, followed by Nogla.

"Nenenenenene nenene..." Nogla began to sing the Batman theme.

"Shut the fuck up, Nogla! We're gonna get caught if you continue to blabbery shit!" Brian whispers to him, doing his best not to get the goblins attention.

"Okay, sorry."

When the two were ten meters away from the fifteen goblins that stood in the middle of the forest speaking an unknown language, the two observed them for a while before Nogla threw a stone in another direction to divert their attention.

The goblins became startled as they tried to see who was attacking them. Having seen that they had taken the bait, the two immediately sprung forward, Nogla at the side shooting down a rain of enchanted arrows into the goblins.

*Swish!* *Swish!* *Swish!* *Swish!* *Swish!*

Four of the five arrows that Nogla had shot pierced four goblins in the chest, they fell on the ground, twitching for a few seconds before breathing their last breaths.

Without stopping, Nogla lunged forward as he roars like a boar while holding his Enchanted Golden Sword intending to slice off the goblin near him.

Unfortunately, the Goblin blocked his blade with a Shield made out of Mithril material.

*Gyin!*

A sharp sound was made as the sword came in contact with the goblin's Mithril shield. But comparing each other's strength, the goblin was pushed back a few feet.

Then, it shouted, "Gugiyah!!"

Alerting the other squad who was not too far from where they were, Terroriser cut down several Goblins at once before hearing the sound of numerous footsteps running towards them.

"You fucking idiot, Nogla, you just have to ruin the whole damn plan, ain't yan?" 

"The fucking goblin has a captain america shield god damn it! How am I supposed to know that will happen!"

Ignoring his words, Brian let out a small sigh before bringing out ARMS Casull and shot a bullet into the goblin's head Nogla was fighting, blowing its head into mash potatoes.

*Bang!*

The Goblin's senses felt unwillingness, he thought that after alerting the others he may be able to live, unfortunately, he was killed before he could notice the small metal came out of the barrel. 

"Nogla, get your MG-42, it's time to get higher kill scores than the Vietnamese." Saying this, Terroriser quickly disappeared before the alerted goblins came.

After killing the goblin beside him, Nogla quickly pulls out his MG-42 from his Inventory before retreating and hiding behind a big tree.

Shortly after, fifteen goblins came and when they saw their fallen brethren, they started talking in an unknown language that even he couldn't understand.

"Gyi! Gyi!"

"Gyi! Gigyi!"

"Giggity! Giggity!"

They were clearly restless, the group of goblins looked around enraged, trying to see if they could locate the culprit.

*Krak!!*

Because their luck is incredibly shitty, Nogla had unconsciously stepped on a dead tree branch.

"""Gyi?"""

The Goblins turned their attention towards where the two were.

"Fuck..." Terroriser cursed out loud, face palming himself on how unlucky they were.

"Come on Brian, why would we be worried? They are like Level 5 compared to us!"

After Nogla yelled out, he quickly came out from his hiding spot, holding the Machine Gun and hip-firing it, startling the goblins who were coming toward his direction.

*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*

At blazing speed, he successfully killed four goblins and injured many. Clearly not expecting a surprise attack, the goblins could not defend themselves properly, they were injured stopping them in their tracks.

Nogla, on the other hand, continued to shoot down the goblins with his machine gun without stopping, while Terroriser quickly dashed towards the goblin at incredible speed before swinging his Diamond Sword toward the goblin in the middle, aiming at its neck.

Even though everything happened in a flash, the goblin still managed to react to his attack and was about to block it with its rusted sword.

However, when the two blades collided, due to the differences of the materials of the weapons and the greater magic enchantment in the Diamond sword, the goblin couldn't comprehend what just happened as it got its both sword and its head cut in half.

After killing the Goblin, Terroriser doesn't have time to celebrate as he senses multiple goblins rush at him with their weapons to attack. But in an instant, Brian's ARM Casull appeared in his left freehand, and quickly fired multiple bullets towards his back where the incoming goblins were coming from.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

Without looking whether he had successfully killed the goblins or not, Terroriser automatically switched his weapons, his Diamond Sword went into his left hand while Hellsing ARM Casull appeared in his right hand. He then fired another barrage of bullets like the way Alucard did.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

Everything happened in a matter of seconds.

*Thud!* *Thud!*

The sound indicating that something had fallen onto the ground could be heard. The goblin in front of Terroriser stiffened because he had not anticipated this series of actions. He was too quick, the goblin knew without even looking back that the two that had fallen won't be waking up anymore.

A sudden fear gripped its heart, this human at the moment looked like a monster to him. Especially one of his eyes, his left eye of course, the red eye of the human made him resemble Death.

Feeling from the human's gaze, the Goblin was so afraid that he turned tail, and started running.

But how could Terroriser let him go so easily, missing this chance? He looked at the running goblin and then, he threw an Iron Axe with most of his strength behind it, with this, his axe flew at the speed that almost broke the sound barrier.

*Spurt!*

The sharp edge of the Axe pierced the back of the goblin's head, nailing him against a nearby tree, the goblin struggled for a split second before it stop moving, he was dead.

"Ho! That is such a nice little exercise!"

But then, at that moment, Terroriser sensed something.

*Fuuu!*

Without knowing what it was, Terroriser simply moved his head slightly, and a sword passed above his head, well he can just tank it, it's not gonna like a simple dull sword could kill him.

Looking at the Goblin that yeeted its sword, Terroriser gave off a deadpan look before smiling maniacally, he aimed his ARM Casull toward the startled goblin who was not expecting him to be able to avoid that sword.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

Numerous bullets were fired in quick succession piercing the chest of the goblin, it fell onto the ground with dozens of basketball size bullet holes all over its body.

"Next time don't be careless you fools."

"Isn't that a bit too much? It's already dead." Nogla said behind Brian, who just finished killing the goblins he faced.

"What about you? Shouldn't you be more careful? Because if there is anything more dangerous similar to this, our situation will be helluva times shittier!"

"I know! I'm getting into it right there, I promise I shouldn't be careless that much." Nogla promised.

"Sigh, I think we should go back, it is getting late though." Terroriser said, looking at the orange sky.

"Yeah, I think we should." Nogla nodded.

The two then decided to return to the city, but as they were moving forward, Terroriser suddenly sensed an oncoming danger.

"Nogla, watch out!"

Without asking any questions, Nogla immediately jumped back, same as Terroriser, both of them barely managing to avoid being blasted by a magic projectile.

*Boom!*

Then, a large explosion echoes the landscape, including spreading magic blue particles in the air after the explosion, as the two land, they notice an arrow in the epicenter of the explosion.

"What the fuck?" Nogla cursed inwardly as he felt a chill down his spine. If he was late by a millisecond, he was sure to be incredibly imjured by the powerful magic explosion just now.

"I'm guessing it might be some magic arrow that carries explosive spells." Terroriser guessed.

"""Gyi! Gyi! Gyi! Gyi!"""

Around them were numerous Goblins surrounding the two, if what they had to guesd the numbers, might be a hundred.

"Wait a minute..." Realizing something, Brian began to count the goblin corpses they had just killed and notice there were only 29. "Fuck! One might have ran and call for his little buddies!" 

"We have been ambushed!" Nogla shouted out.
