THE RECEPTION

Liera was expecting to see Dennise in the reception, since she was pretty sure that she saw her in the church. Even Denver saw her.

They were both sitting at the couple's table, and Denver was smiling and enjoying the little presentation prepared for them.  His friends from the hospital were giving their wishes through a song.

The song ended, and Denver looked at Liera. He got the feeling that something was wrong. He could feel the worry on her face.

He looked around for Dennise. She was not there. But Liera was smiling, and she looked at him as if there was nothing wrong.

That look showed that she was happy, and Denver was relieved, but he couldn't stop thinking about that look.  He knew that something was wrong, but he was not supposed to know about it, so he decided to pretend that nothing was wrong.
