"Her fever is completely gone," Jean said in astonishment. "I can't believe this. It's unbelievable."
"I wouldn't say that," Mauve said. "Your herbs have been most helpful."
Jean looked like he wanted to say something but he kept it to himself. "We will just keep watch and see what happens in the coming days. Let me know if something feels up and please remain in bed for the meantime."
"Of course, I know better than to push it. I've definitely learned my lesson the hard way." She gave a forced chuckle as her gaze met with Jael's stern gaze.
"Good," Jean said. "Let us pray that your current state lasts for longer this time. I'd hold on to the herbs as you haven't taken them in almost three days and you seem to be doing better on your own. Makes me wonder if they were of any help at all."
"I am sure it was," she replied with a smile.
