Mauve woke up suddenly. She could feel Jael move beside her but she didn't have any time to explain what the issue was before, she jerked out of bed.
The force made her head spin and it made her even more nauseous but she was trying to save the bed. If she couldn't save the carpet, at least she could spare the bed.
She couldn't, she retched before she could adjust completely throwing up on the carpet and down the side of the bed.
"Oh," Mauve cried at the mess. She dropped back to the bed, her energy depleted. "I'm sorry," she tried to say as her vision blurred.
She could hear the sound of the sheets being moved and Jael scooped her out of the bed. She lay limp on his arms, her head and limbs shaking as he moved.
"Mauve," he called softly, she could clearly hear the panic in his voice.
She tried to open her mouth to say she was just tired but even that felt hard to do. She groaned in pain.
