556. Fever
"I suppose," Mauve responded with a smile.
"Would that be all?" Jael interrupted before Louis could say anything more.
"I guess," Louis replied.
"You don't have to be so rude to Louis," she said.
"It is fine," Louis replied with a wink. I only came here to make sure you aren't dying. "I shall take my leave now." He said and rushed to the door.
"He was just trying to be nice," she replied.
"I am sure," Jael said, his fingers around her arms felt a bit stiff.
Somehow Mauve was able to make it to the last meal. But it took incessant pleas from her before Jael listened.
She got to the table and realized most of the Lords were gone. The only ones left were Lady Jevera and her father. Lord Alaric and his mate, Lady Marceline and Kieran.
The remainder of the Lords that stayed behind that she didn't mention all had something to do with the Palers Elimination Squad and she figured that was supposed to resume soon.
