Jael felt what could be easily described as dread as he saw her lift up a letter with a familiar seal on it.
"It's a letter from my father," she said with glee. "I'd recognize this seal anywhere." She glanced back at him with a bright smile.
Jael's mouth turned to a thin line. He was sure he had asked his guards to get rid of the letter, why was it still here and that was not the only horrifying information, Mauve found it.
"Are you sure?" He asked, intently thinking of how he could get it out of her hand.
"Yes," she said and turned away from him. She flipped the letter and gasped, "It's addressed to me," her voice held surprise.
"What?" Jael couldn't hide his shock. He sat upright immediately so he could get a closer look.
"Yes, see," she said, bringing it closer to him.
Written boldly on the front of the letter, behind the seal was the words, To My Lovely Daughter Mauve.
