Mauve stood at the top of the stairs watching as Jael addressed the vampires. They didn't look very familiar and she assumed they were probably the workers.
It was the second night after the meeting and according to what Jael told her, they should start to work on the fence today.
She shouldn't be here but she didn't want to be in her room anymore, besides, she was excited to see how this would go. She knew wouldn't be allowed outside while they worked but at least she would be able to stay as close as possible.
It wasn't like she was breaking any rule as Jael didn't say she couldn't move around. However, she didn't want to be in anyone's way as it was likely going to be a busy period.
Suddenly, Jael turned around and looked straight at her. Her breath held and for a second as she wondered if he would scold her or worse.
