268. Her Priority

Jael got to the top of the stairs, looking down he saw Lady Sabrina, and beside her stood Damon and Danag. Erick was nowhere to be found and Jael couldn't sense his presence nearby.

Either he was still upstairs or he was already outside the castle. Jael frowned a little at this. If it was the former, it was a little annoying as they had to leave soonest if he wanted to make it back here today.

The meeting would definitely drag on for hours, the Lords were hard to please but the main purpose was simply to gather enough members to battle against the palers.

Everything was in place as Kieran had finished the drug. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a setback as the drug wasn't completed on time and Jael didn't get a chance to test it out on palers himself before it was time for the meeting. 

Kieran, however, reassured him of the proficiency of the drug, having already tested it out himself. Jael wasn't pleased about this, it certainly lowered the edge he had.
