248. Reading The Damn Letter

"Bring the damn letter!" Jael yelled, his eyes flashing.

He was annoyed but at this point, he was curious about the head guard's adamancy. What could possibly be in the letter? According to Danag enough to annul the peace treaty and the alliance.

Jael didn't care for the contents. He has made up his mind. Nothing in it could make him let her go. However, Danag's stubbornness was intriguing.

"Yes, Sire." Danag rushed to his feet and stretched out the letter with both his hands.

Jael snatched it from his grip, "I am guessing this has something to with the fact that you called her by her name. I haven't heard you refer to her as anything other than Princess before." Jael said as he closely watched Danag.

"You'd have to forgive me, Sire. I can't say anything until you've read the letter. You would understand the current situation better."

"You haven't read this?" Jael asked, staring at the letter oddly.
