104. Someone Else Would
She is seated by the dresser with a quill in her hand, she tries to write on the piece of paper in front of her when suddenly the lights go out and the quill is viciously pulled out of her hand. A hand wraps her neck and she tries to scream but no sound comes out.
She tries to unlock the hand around her neck but before she can reach out to touch it, she is lifted off the chair with her neck. She kicks vigorously and scratches the hand but it only makes her situation worse as the grip tightens around her neck.
"Mauve! Mauve!" A loud voice called. "Wake up Mauve. It's a dream. Wake up."
Mauve eyes flew open and she took a deep breath. Her face felt wet but she wasn't too concerned about that as she wrapped her arms around Jael. "I was so scared," she cried.
"I know," Jael said and held her tighter as she sobbed into his chest. "You are with me and I won't let anyone harm you. Not again."
