The next morning saw Jeremy standing in the yard just as the sun was rising and making its' presence known to the world.
He stood there, his body dripping with sweat and steam coming off in waves from his slim toned figure as he stood with his arms crossed in a relaxed manner and his eyes closed. His mind seemingly processing the amount of effort he just put into his workout.
He knew that his idea to push his body far beyond its limits and then consume Enzo's blood would be effective, but he was not yet prepared for how much. It was like his body was primed and ready to go at least two times his limit that he discovered yesterday, and if that wasn't enough, he believed that once he went up to his room and consumed the sealed blood that he confiscated from the vampire the previous day, he should once again double his body's limits.
Now, while he knew such a trend could not continue indefinitely, that wasn't what was important. What was important was that the time he believed it would take in order to get his mind and body synced to respond instantaneously to one another was also proving to be a matter that was progressing at supernatural speed.
'I knew my mind was beyond what it was in my last life, but does that mean that my body, or at least it's potential for adaption and development was enhanced in the process in terms of comprehension?' He thought to himself as he continued to stand, coming down from the adrenaline and the high that he achieved through his efforts.
He allowed his mind to go silent, as he stood and waited. He knew it wouldn't be long before his dancing partners would finally get tired of having to figure out where the alarms going off in their rooms were coming from that kept saying "Jeremy is waiting, Jeremy is waiting", in a loud and obnoxious parrot sounding voice that was actually his own. Though he would never admit it.
It took another 16 minutes of him standing there waiting for the both of them to collectively come bursting out the door leading to the backyard demanding answers, explanations, and for him to cut off that damn alarm, though those were Jenna's words. Elena as usual was more of a woman of both words and action.
He was glad to see her swinging and swiping as she tried to catch him to get him to stop messing with her, while he just dodged while keeping his arms crossed. He felt it was a good warm-up.
After a while, she tired herself out and gave up.
"Okay, pheasants," he said, his voice neither loud nor low, but just right in order to grab their attention without waking the neighbors, since that would be rude. "You know why you're out here and you know what we're going to do."
He pointed at Elena who had her hand raised, while bending over with her hands on her knees and breathing in a way that showed clearly why she needed the exercise.
"Go ahead, Elena. Ask your question?"
She looked at him and then at her raised hand, before scowling when she realized that it actually did look like she was raising her hand to ask a question like she was in class. However, since the opportunity was presented to her, she decided to go ahead and ask a question anyway.
"What..the hell...is wrong with you! We were trying to sleep!" She said as she got her breathing under control.
"Yeah, Jeremy. What the hell is wrong with you." Jenna chirped up, though by that time she was a lot more calm after watching Elena try and fail to catch me for a few minutes straight.
"Well my dear ones, to answer that question, I would need to take your minds, bodies, and senses on a journey through time, starting in the land of Brazil. It all began with a word and a purpose. That word, capoeira and the purpose, to be awesome." Jeremy spoke, as he went on a long tangent about the founding of the dancing combat form and all the benefits it could have to the body, such as flexibility, coordination, and physical strengthening.
By the time he was done talking, he knew that his words had served their purpose in mentally draining the life out of both women, making it so that he had in front of him two groggy and bored individuals that he could build up into a fitting shape over the course of many sessions just like this one.
It took two hours for Jeremy to be satisfied with the girls amount of work, and while they didn't get to working on any actual forms involving capoeira, he did stretch them, bend them, and begin to strengthen them, through some targeted exercises.
The hateful looks he got for practically forcing them to show up and then constantly tricking them or restraining them into staying and putting in that work to get in fitting form were just the well earned bonuses that he felt were high praise in his mind.
After a quick healing of himself, followed by a wash and a meal, he was once more out the door and making his way to the warehouse to see if he would still have his easily accessible cards on hand, or if he would have to acquire some new assets for himself. Though, he wasn't really in the least bit worried. He had samples of Enzo's blood, so creating a new vamp would be simple, and as far as Logan's properties and assets went, he knew all he would need was to visit his home at max, and at the minimum, just get online and take what he wanted while erasing his tracks.
Either way, he felt it was a good test for the aged immortal and if he was cooperative, it would allow Jeremy to establish a basis for their relationship that would let it progress in a way that the vamp, at the very least, knew what lines he could and could not cross.
Pulling up outside the warehouse and his new BOA (base of operations), Jeremy got out of his newly borrowed car, which just so happened to be the same one he had borrowed the previous day.
'It seems the owner was either feeling generous, or they just weren't aware, though based on the fact that the gas tank was full, likely means that they probably just didn't notice.'
He made his way inside, pausing like he always does at the door to let his ears, nose, eyes, and instincts wash over the space he was entering so he could be aware of any shifts in the air, or changes in the feeling of the environment.
Then, like he never even really paused, since he made it blend perfectly and naturally into his movements, he was inside and taking in the full space.
"Is he alive?" He asked the vampire who was sitting against a pillar with one arm rested on his propped up knee and a self-satisfied smirk on his face, like he was the cat who just caught the canary. Though, Jeremy could clearly note the tension in his body and the look in his eyes that he couldn't hide that let him know that the vamp was once again testing the waters.
In the chair a little away from the vamp was a still tied up Logan Fell, though unlike when Jeremy left, the man was now bloodied and looked like he had given his permission to use his face as a punching bag and then came to regret granting the permission.
"Oh of course," Enzo spoke with a hint of sarcasm and a touch of gloating.
'So, he truly is stupid, then.'
"You asked me to keep him alive, so I did. After all, you did say you needed him for something or another and I am nothing if not agreeable." He spoke, allowing Jeremy to note just how similar he and Damon were in their mannerisms, if he was anything like he was seen on the show.
'Though, a part of me does understand his perspective. I did basically shred his reason for sanity in the form of Maggie and then force him to accept it. Immediately after, I placed him confined with someone I know to be a bit of an asshole from pre-me-Jeremy's memories, so him releasing some of that pent-up aggression in the form of a pummeling is an obvious step to take...however.'
"That's all well and good, Enzo. The only problem is, that dude's finger keeps jumping, and your body is way too tenses and prepared to spring for you to be still incapacitated from the vervain. So, with that said, who wants to die first?"
