"Hello?" Christian spoke into the phone and sat back against the headboard, watching Madeleine sit up with crossed arms. She pouted at him, and he chuckled. "Yeah. Tomorrow? Brunch? The cafe down by Madeleine's university? Got it. See you then, father."
Madeleine watched him become irritated and she sighed. She knew that he shouldn't have answered the phone.
"Yes... I can walk. I'm fine... I can drive myself. Fine, send him." Christian rolled his eyes as he gave up. "Goodnight, father."
Madeleine watched him hang up his phone as she opened her sketchbook. "So?"
"While you are turning in your project... I will be having a lovely brunch with my father. Also, it seems he won't let me drive myself there." Christian rubbed his eyes with his thumb and forefinger.
"I can drop by after I turn it in." Madeleine went back to focusing on the jacket that she had sketched. "I don't have to present it. I just have to hand it in."
