Madeleine made her way to her car and sighed. Her thoughts were consumed with the thoughts of him falling or having a problem while she was gone. She would have felt better if he had come with her, but she knew that he needed to relax. She took a deep breath and tried to not let her anxiety get the better of her.
She unlocked her car and got inside. Madeleine didn't use her car often and when she did, it brought a secret thrill to her. It was like being in a brand-new car, even though it was not the newest model.
The drive to her apartment didn't feel like it took that long. The traffic was with her, and she parked in the garage. She locked her car and walked to the elevator.
Madeleine made her way to her apartment and opened the door. She hadn't been there in a while. Her apartment looked the same as she had remembered it. She smiled as she closed the door behind her and walked through the hallway, looking over the photos.
