Chapter 39: Runway Part 2
Christian let her help him back into his chair and he went to grab the bars on his wheels when she stopped him. He gave in as she shut his car door after locking the car.
"Let me push you. I want you to conserve all of your energy until you walk." Madeleine grabbed the handlebars and pushed him through a back door.
"I trust you." Christian sighed as he let her push him through the hallways.
"Christian. Your father is waiting for you in make-up." Rose appeared and stared at him with a shocked expression.
"I can walk. Don't look at me like that." Christian sighed as he saw her taking pity on him.
"I- um- I'll show you to him." Rose took off and they followed her.
Madeleine leaned down into his ear. "You okay?"
"As good as I can be." Christian shrugged as he let her push him.
