Chapter 114: Matrimony

...

Luther explained to Sariell, Piere and Stewell what happened after Xia appeared.

"So the princess saved us?" Stewell wanted to reconfirm the information he learned

"I originally wasn't going to, you shouldn't have died so easily, against rubble at that." Luther shook his head with disappointment

"She convinced me in the end to help revive you." Luther shrugged

"Thank you then." Stewell looked up at Ivery

Ivery nodded with a smile.

"Let's go report this to our parents." Luther told Ivery

"Right." Ivery nodded in agreement

....

Ivery and Luther sat on one of the couches in his grandiose bedroom while waiting for their parents to arrive.

A few minutes went by and the two large doors were opened.

Four people with extraordinarily regal aura walked in.

Erdel and Caribella walked in first and smiled once they saw Ivery and Luther. Julian and Cassandra gracefully walked in right behind them.

The four of them sat in pairs on the vacant couches beside Ivery and Luther.

"What did you two have to tell all of us?" Cassandra asked

"We managed to kill the Dark goddess, Eos." Luther answered

"Really?!" Caribella widely smiled, her amazingly beautiful features were enhanced with that very smile

"You two really took down a dark god? By yourselves? Astonishing?" Erdel couldn't believe his own son could fight against gods now, otherworldly beings of the heavens and even of hell who were known to be unbeatable, limitlessly powerful, and immortal

"We had a lot of help from Hecate and Hades, so we have more power than we ever did before now." Luther told his father

"The gods that favor you granted you more power?!" Erdel exclaimed, his eyes widened with excitement

"Yes." Ivery nodded

"How much stronger are the two of you then?" Julian inquired

"Just me alone can completely wipe out and level more than ten countries in less than five hours." Luther answered Julian

"With just Inanna, she could most likely do the same." He added

"Maybe not ten countries, perhaps five or six." Ivery nervously chuckled

"That's still beyond amazing honey!" Cassandra couldn't believe her daughter was this incredible

"We've even achieved immortality." Luther said

"...."

"What!?!!?" All four of them shouted in immense shock

"I-Immortality?!" Cassandra covered her mouth

"Does that mean you two can't die??" Julian asked

"Correct." Luther nodded

"What about aging?" Caribella wondered

"We're not sure yet...since we have yet to get older." Ivery told her

"All we know for sure is that we heal from all injuries, minor and what would be fatal." Ivery said

"Amazing..absolutely amazing.." Erdel smiled widely

"What about that wretched girl.." Julian narrowed his eyes with his inquiry

"Oh Xia? She's in the dungeon right now." Luther told Julian

"What's your plans to deal with her?" Julian asked

"Right, she's too dangerous to be kept alive, and what if another dark god tries to help her again." Erdel thought she should be dealt with immediately

"First and foremost I didn't kill her yet because I want her to suffer before her death, as you know I've already claimed her soul, she's already destined to spend conscious eternity in complete darkness." Luther explained himself

"Luther, do you think it's possible to torture even her soul after she dies?" Ivery asked him, she wanted Xia to suffer, she wanted her to be tortured for all of eternity, spending it in total darkness was too peaceful for her

"Hmm...perhaps." Luther thought about it, he never tried changing the surroundings of the claimed souls he claimed are stored

If he did what Ivery suggested, it would be his own fabricated hell.

"It'll be interesting to try out.." He smiled

"But I'm sure you both know her execution must be carried out in public on the execution grounds, she's a criminal and has committed the crimes of attempted murder of royalty, from two different empires to make it worst in her case." Erdel told them

"I know, father, I won't let her die until then." Luther smirked and couldn't wait for Xia to be out of their lives for good

"Now, enough talking about useless things." Erdel said

"Let's proceed on with your wedding and ceremony now that those matters have been dealt with." Erdel smiled

"Oh right! Your wedding, how wonderful." Caribella clapped

"I'd like it to be as soon as possible father." Luther told Erdel with glee

"Consider it done, how about next week?" Erdel nodded

"Next week is perfect, Inanna's birthday is the week after too, I'll begin making arrangements immediately." Julian happily stood up and left the room with haste

Cassandra laughed at how eager her husband was to marry Ivery to Luther.

"Come now Inanna, let's go decide on the design of your dress!" Cassandra stood up from her seat and grabbed her daughters hand

Cassandra pulled Ivery up from her seat and led her to the doors.

Ivery turned her head and looked at Luther who looked at her with a wide smile.

It was finally happening…

.

.

After several days went by, Ivery's wedding dress was finally finished. The design was astonishingly beautiful and the size of the dress is considered massive, it would need a group of people just to carry it from one area to another. It was to be mainly white with hints of gold within it, laced with several crystals scattered across it, and attached to it is a large monarch train contributing immensely to its weight.

There was only four days left until their wedding was to take place.

Cassandra sat with Ivery in her bedroom and combed her hair.

"How does it feel to almost be married?" Cassandra asked

"It feels...amazing, but it also feels like we worked so hard to reach this point in our lives even though us getting married was set in stone for so long.." Ivery answered

"I see, well you two did work hard all this time, I'm just glad I was able to be your mother, even if it was only for this short while.." Cassandra looked saddened

Ivery turned around and saw Cassandra tearing up.

"...." Ivery didn't know what to say

"What were your first thoughts when you gave birth to me?" Ivery inquired out of curiosity

"Hm, my first thought was 'how beautiful'." Cassandra told her as she wiped her tears away

"I was so happy that I finally had another daughter, but when I didn't detect any magical prowess from you, I could feel my heart breaking again...having to lose another child to that damned decree your grandfather made Julius issue.." Cassandra's expression looked pained

Ivery lightly smiled. It seemed that Cassandra truly did love her children.

"Do you think prince Luther would let you stay here just a little while longer?" Cassandra asked, wanting more time with her daughter

"He wouldn't say no." Ivery smiled

"Good...good." Cassandra hugged Ivery tightly

...

Meanwhile..

A handsomely aged man with long green hair sat at his desk in his large study room.

"Grandmaster! It's ready!" A young man in a butlers attire, with dark brown hair and dark orange colored eyes entered the room

"Let me see it." The grandmaster's amber colored eyes looked as if they were glowing with excitement

The butler handed him a small white box.

The grandmaster opened it and inside of it laid a silver ring.

"How wonderful." The grandmaster took the ring out from the box and admired it closely

"The moment I heard of the rumors circulating that crown princess Inanna was seen with red marks on her neck I had this made.." He smiled

"A woman cannot marry a prince if she's been had by another man." The grandmaster said

"Excuse me for my impudent question but what if it was actually the crown prince who...you know?" The butler nervously asked

"He is not the type of man to have those type of desires, if you can even call someone like him a man." The grandmaster shook his head

"Poor princess Inanna must have wanted attention and went elsewhere to get it."

"Once this ring is placed on her finger it will be her imminent judgement, alas nothing will happen if she still has her chastity, but if not it will burn her as if she had put her finger into a raging fire." The grandmaster revealed his plans

"She will either be executed by the crown prince himself or exiled to somewhere far far way, maybe even to a nunnery." He laughed

"Then finally my daughter will take her rightful place as the empress of Fresia."

"B-But with the crown prince's reputation, why would you want to marry your only daughter to him of all people?" The butler asked, not understanding why the grandmaster would risk his daughter's life

"Erdel would never allow his son to harm a single strand of hair on my daughter." He confidently replied

"Besides Erdel and I had been talking about a marriage between my daughter and his son way before princess Inanna had even gained her title." The grandmaster told the servant

"Now there's just four more days until then.."
