Good Job

"It was worth a shot I suppose," Mana said to herself as Neya once again charged her.

It felt like an arena; so many people around her, but no one was willing to help. Though, after seeing what she did to Viktor in only a moment, she understood why they were scared.

5 minutes left...

She saw the timer out of the corner of her eye running down.

Timing Neya's arrival out of sheer luck alone, she flung one of her fists forward, making immediate contact with Neya's side. The force of her blow caused the murderous being to flip to the side, but the momentum didn't stop. She flew past Mana, slamming into one of the numerous brick buildings that inhabited the concrete jungle, creating a crater in its wall.

Mana smiled while looking over her shoulder at the monster. It was rising from the rubble, slower than it had been moving in the past few moments; revenge felt so good.

She finally turned to face her attacker, reading its health. It was getting weaker.

Viktor had injured her for 320 damage from his shield bash, and Mana had caused a total of 1,455 damage. Neya only had 2,175 HP left from their attacks alone, but the building caused an additional 100 damage.

2,075 HP. Mana knew Neya was feeling it too as she hobbled from the rubble, glaring at the pink-haired heroin in front of her. She was dripping blood from every punch she received, the blunt force and the spikes combined was tearing her apart.

"This is for Gairma," Mana whispered to herself before she took off after Neya, taking advantage of her temporary weakness as she tried to collect her beastly mind.

The monster peered at her attacker, smiling. Her tongue licking her lips, bleeding as it grazed her own teeth.

Mana's weapon made her feel as light as a feather as she nearly glided through the air towards her sister's motherly murderer. As she raised one of her fists to land another blow, Neya moved to the side slightly, grabbing Mana's extended arm effortlessly before swinging her around and slamming her into the building as well, a loud, explosive boom emitting from the impact of her body.

Mana's arm was burning like it was on fire, her back was in so much pain that it felt broken. Luckily, she still felt the surge of power rushing through her veins, except, she felt it fading; she was running out of time.

She looked at her arm where Neya had grabbed her, and to her horror, her arm was melting. Her skin was mutating into a green goop as it started to slowly fall from her body; her skin was being devoured by Neya's poison.

She winced at the sight of her arm, then quickly looked at Neya as she watched her approach where she was upon the rubble covered ground. She was healing; not by much, but by enough to matter.

2,175. Neya gained back the health she had lost from her hit against the wall from the initial siphon as is.

2 minutes left...

Mana grunted in pain as she rose to her feet; bricks, metal, dust, dirt, all falling off her as she got up. She faltered slightly as she straightened herself out, grabbing her arm in pain as the gravity began to weigh down on her peeling skin. She wouldn't be able to use it anymore; she couldn't control her hand. Her weapon slid off her limp fingers, ringing as it made impact with the concrete, and Neya looked on in bloodlust, almost salivating as she watched the prey in front of her slowly die once more.

Mana gulped but was refusing to run; not again. No one was going to die because of her cowardliness anymore.

She never wanted to be in this situation. She only wanted to live a normal life; never leaving Koro. Despite what she told people, compared to now, she realized she loved her life.

It wasn't crazy or dangerous. She only had to worry about choking on big bites of food, swallowing her drink wrong, or tripping over her own feet.

Never did she think she would have to ever worry about choking on her own blood, or to be squeezed so hard she couldn't breathe or being slammed into walls.

Or people she loved being murdered....

Her left hand, still able to work, rose up in front of her. Going into a fight with 2 hands and no experience was one thing, but only 1 hand with none was another.

"Die," she heard Neya whisper demonically. Mana, not wanting her to heal anymore nor getting the chance to hit first, charged again. Her right arm was limp in the wind as she ran, and as she readied her left for a full swing though, Neya avoided her effortlessly, stepping to the side and grabbing Mana's remaining good arm.

She immediately felt the poison begin to administer in her forearm, and instead of tossing her, she began to lift her into the air with it.

Mana knew she didn't have much in her left. The potion only had 60 seconds remaining, and one of her arms was nearly skeletal while her other was being used as a leash to hold her up.

30 seconds...

Suddenly, the sound of a chain rang out throughout the area as Viktor, one arm hanging himself, used the last of his strength to send his flail flying towards the beast. As the force of his throw hit Neya, his weapon coiled around her neck causing the spiked ball at the end to hit the back of her head. It created such an immense impact that it knocked her forward, allowing Mana to fall from her poisonous touch.

10 seconds...

Mana turned around immediately, facing the back of Neya as she stood there trying to get the chain off from around her neck, the heavy ball weighing her down backwards and tightening the snack-like constriction with every passing second.

She squeezed her left fist; she had some power still.

She ran towards Neya, making direct contact with the top of her head as it was bent backwards, causing Neya's head to fly forwards, disconnecting from her spinal cord and shooting off like an arrow.

Critical Hit. 72,750 dmg.

The power of her hit sent a shockwave throughout the area, causing her hair and clothes to flap violently in the wind like she was standing in the path of a hurricane.

The debris around her went flying haphazardly about, and the sirens of Koro began to sound warning its citizens of an active quake.

"Good job, Mana..." she heard the faint voice of her sister whisper into her ear.

"Gairma!?" She screamed out before collapsing.

0 seconds... she was now level 11, unconscious and in critical condition.
