The Undying Star

A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?

"I-Ian. Hey, come on!"

Abandoning the idea of closing the windows, Alaric rushed back to the bluehead. He was crouching down beside the bed on the opposite side of the door, trying to hide himself from whoever would enter the room.

The tiny wolf pup was already with him, worriedly circling around his master and stroking his hand with its soft paws.

-Master, don't be like that...

The kid was restlessly wiggling around.

-Master, master, master...

"Get... out of..."

Ian lightly shook the arm that Lior was clinging onto. The baby wolf landed on the ground, yet stuck to his master without any intentions of letting go.

"...Please."

The occasional gasps turned into visible struggles to breathe. The boy's body curled even more, his face buried deep into the bed. The closer Lior got, the more Ian hid his face in the bed.

"Lior, leave the room for a moment."
