Jack immersed himself in the unfolding match, relishing every move as Frostbite secured a triumphant victory. The electrifying atmosphere fueled a newfound determination within him, igniting an urgent desire to enhance his combat skills.
'If I could refine my combat abilities and acquire those formidable powers, I could navigate this new world with unstoppable prowess,' Jack contemplated, recognizing the essential role of strength in overcoming formidable foes.
Amidst his contemplation and eager anticipation for the next match, Jack's reflections were interrupted by the unexpected call of his name. A spotlight descended out of nowhere, capturing everyone's attention, including Jack's. Despite a nervous undercurrent, he maintained a calm exterior, concealing his discomfort with being the center of attention.
Jack, who once harbored an irrational fear of crowds, found himself grappling with the spotlight's unwavering focus. His past as an antisocial individual, devoid of friends, shaped his response to the sudden attention.
As Jack weighed his options, contemplating an escape, his gaze involuntarily shifted to Hewitt. To his dismay, he found Hewitt grinning sinisterly from the stands, confirming Jack's suspicions.
'I should have known, he had orchestrated this,' Jack thought, realizing the depth of the deception. Since Jack's inclusion in their group, Hewitt and Bin had harbored discontent, with Leo being the primary communicator between Jack and the others.
The trio, once a united team chosen to hunt beasts and sell their crystals for sustenance, had become divided. Hewitt had instructed Bin to manipulate the match schedule, pitting Jack against a formidable opponent in exchange for a coveted beast crystal.
'This will teach you a lesson,' Hewitt thought, relishing the anticipated suffering Jack was about to endure. Gripping his hands tightly, Jack felt the weight of being played, realizing he had unwittingly walked into a trap disguised as a casual invitation for a drink.
'Son of a b*, you're gonna regret this,' Jack thought, steeling himself as he walked towards the ring. In addition to the lesson he was unwittingly set to learn, there was an underlying motivation – a chance to test the full potential of his undead body.
Jack, an undead being, recognized the untapped potential within him. The previous encounters with mindless zombies failed to push his limits. Now, facing skilled opponents, Jack was determined to unlock the full capabilities of his unique form.
As Jack navigated through the crowd, he overheard snippets of conversation, thanks to his improved hearing. "Do you see the pipsqueak trying to fight the giant Rak?" someone in the crowd remarked. Another voice confidently predicted, "He's a deadman. Raks is going to crush that guy."
A smirk played on Jack's lips at the mention of being a "deadman." Little did the crowd know that Jack was already among the undead.
Reaching the ring, a door materialized within the cage, opening to admit Jack. He stepped in, positioning himself at the opposite end, anticipation building as he awaited the appearance of his yet unseen opponent.
'So where's this guy I'm about to fight?' Jack wondered, ready to face the challenge head-on and demonstrate the true potential of his undead existence.
Jack stood confidently at one end of the ring, poised for the impending battle with his yet-to-be-revealed opponent. The anticipation in the air was palpable, and the atmosphere was charged with the energy of the eager crowd.
The announcer, stationed at the center of the ring, sported a voice amplifier that accentuated his words as he prepared to introduce the next contender. "Now, we welcome our challenger, hailing from the rundown corners of some unknown place, a newcomer to this arena. Let's give it up for Jack!" The crowd erupted in cheers, acknowledging the arrival of the determined fighter.
As the announcer continued, the spotlight shifted to the other side of the ring. "And now, let's welcome our formidable fighter, a man with an attitude as rugged as the rocky terrains he emerged from. Presenting Rak, the giant!" The announcer's gesture directed everyone's attention to the mysterious opponent.
For a moment, the opposite end of the ring seemed empty, leaving a suspenseful silence. Suddenly, heavy footsteps reverberated from the crowd, creating a path as the spectators parted to make way for the colossal figure known as Rak. The giant of a man slowly entered the ring, standing tall and imposing, positioned opposite Jack.
As Jack sized up his newfound adversary, he couldn't help but be taken aback. 'What the…' he thought, his gaze fixed on the formidable figure before him, a man standing at an imposing 6 feet, boasting a physique that radiated danger. Rak, true to his moniker, had a clean-shaven head, shirtless, with only a pair of trousers showcasing his powerful upper body.
"So, you're the one itching for a fight with me!" Rak declared, his voice echoing through the arena.
"I guess so, baldy," Jack retorted, a hint of cockiness in his response.
"You stupid piece of shit," Rak shot back, setting the stage for a confrontation that promised to be intense and explosive.
Rak, fueled by fury, charged forward with thunderous steps that reverberated throughout the ring. His anger was evident as he closed the distance with Jack, and with a powerful leap, he soared into the air, reaching a formidable height.
"Let's see how you can handle this!" Rak bellowed, his hands raised and interlocked, poised to unleash a formidable attack upon his unsuspecting opponent.
Meanwhile, Jack, seemingly unaware of the impending danger, was engrossed in his own world. His attention had been diverted by a notification that unexpectedly popped up just as the match began.
